Took my kids for a bit of an explore here, place has been pretty trashed, evidence of raves and parties scattered throughout.

Looks like we just missed out on meeting 50 Cent

What are the trespassing laws like in Australia? As whenever I've seen stuff from there it always seems very heavily graffitied, like nobody really cares about protecting stuff.

Trespass here's a criminal offence with a maximum fine of $12000 or 12 months in prison. That's very rarely enforced though.

Generally if a building's empty here it's because the owner is bankrupt and can't afford security, or the property is going to be demolished anyway. Occasionally you also get developers trying to bypass heritage laws with "demolition through neglect".

I have no proof, but I reckon Australia's got some of the most active and dedicated vandals in the world. Little bastards get all hopped up on Vegemite and go wild lol.
