My buddy and I live where there aren't many large buildings to explore. The large abandoned buildings have either been renovated or heavily guarded. So most of my explores are in foreclosed houses or housing complexes and construction sites.

My most interesting find was in an abandoned hoarders house that had about a 2-3 feet of junk covering the floor of the entire place. (I only know that because we dug to the bottom in many places searching for stuff) It was a mother-load.

First thing we found were TWO $300 bottles of Glenfiddich Scotch and a bottle of unidentified Pior Williams. After that we decided that this place had to be filled with goodies. Next we found keys to a shipping container outside and the 3 cars parked in a state of rust behind that. (sadly the container was rusted shut and we couldn't get it opened. I did climb on top and look inside a small hole and almost went blind from the wave of chemical air coming out so maybe it was best to not get it opened) We found a gun safe in the bedroom that had been forced open but still had some ammo lying around. and then in the closet we found some very tasteful dick pics printed out in a box.... but the best I found were some court files saying the owner had been arrested for terroristic threats. It was a manila envelope that had about 30 pages of the indecent and then court proceedings. Interesting read. Place had been abandoned since 2014. Cool find

As soon as I saw this bizarre tree implanted in the floor of an abandoned house, I was already plotting sharing it in this thread.

Perhaps the old CBC Radio studio that used to be in there?

There was a 'satellite room' so that is certainly it. It was locked so I don't know if it got gutted too.

One of the coolest things that I've found was in a place that was abandoned about 60 years ago. It was in an old mansion that was a doctors office in the back half. Hanging right next to the sink was a really old stethoscope and in the next room there was a bunch of prescription pads that were refilled out as well as all of the medical records of old patients. Very weird and cool. Also I found an abandoned go-kart park with a bunch of other stuff to do (mini golf, horse riding, water slides, bounce house everything still there). Very cool to walk around and see all of the things still left there even the tools are still hanging on the wall makes you wonder...

Not me, but a friend found a gas mask while exploring the remains of a demolished hospital/asylum. Judging by how it looked, it is probably pretty recent, maybe the 90s or 2000s. I'll see if I can get a picture from him.

Wanna bet another explorer left it there?

A WW2 half-track along with crates of ammunition & grenades. Found in a dilapidated shed which was completely overgrown with vines (looked like nothing more than a few fallen trees or whatever, totally covered by vines) out behind an old abandoned winery. Poked around a bit then got the hell outta there. I was just a kid & this was in the 70s, haha. Anyway, someone must have told their parents, because the next day there were official-looking adults looking around there, and a few weeks later everything was gone. Just a bare patch of bulldozed-smooth dirt.

This was in Lincoln county, Ontario.

It's possible, but I was thinking more along the lines of the demolition crew. If I remember correctly, it was pretty heavy duty and cumbersome. I think it was also in some kind of carrying case. I'll have to ask my friend about it more the next time I see him.

I found binders full of names of patients from the 1970s in an abandoned psychiatric center. It gave names, DOBs, and what was most interesting was the status. Like half of the patients were either dead or escaped.

Slightly related, my friend was cleaning out his basement a few years ago and found what looked like a Hitler Youth knife probably from the previous homeowner from the 90s. https://imgur.com/a/F8K0M
