After the resort sustained damage from a not so recent hurricane season, legal battles and bankruptcy - Demolition of this world renown resort is eminent as plans push forward to completely redevelop the land, likely replacing it with a 4 Seasons.

Much of the resort has remained untouched since the site was condemned in 2010.
Many of the suites can be seen with evidence that everyone more or less walked away without their belongings.

A few places had one form of b&e or another but I think most wetr left untouched. I didn't see any reason to go in to anything that was not already opened.

I forgot my flashlights in my Yota so all I had in these dark areas was the light on my quickly dying phone.

#4, I have one of those little faux-wood panel TVs! It was my first TV and it still works!

As a retired Fire Fighter I find the Pic #5 Very interesting, As going thru the floor to escape fire just get's my imagination going into overdrive! Awesome.

It's really quite interesting as this latter drops down to the center of the hallway below between the two stair cases. It seemed lile a safer method of escape could have been planned. Another thing to note is this went from the 5th floor where the penthouses were and went down to the 4th and was the only through-floor fire escape.

I love the contrast of a now-destroyed 'fancy' resort right on the ocean...make it up to the roof? Would be a nice place to watch the sunset. and have the place all to yourself, hah

I did make it to the roof. I kind of saw the sunrise while I was there. Predawned it.

Looks like an interesting spot. Go back, please, I must see more!
