Yeah baby yeah! I did plan that I will release these at this friday morning, but then I did go to photographing (one abandoned farm of course) and at afternoon I did have all kind of things... you know, making food and so on... and at early evening few friends did come here. No, they were not drinking... but after one hour I was. So this did take bit longer but... now it's time, especially because my girlfriend have again fall down to that smartphone bubble (yes, I'm feeling bit lonely once again).

So here we go again with two different locations! Saturday morning week ago, really grey, even rainy day… but this place didn’t get out of my head. I’ve photograph this just twice before this, both times at 2014. Back then it was much easier to get in, but after that one couple did rob abandoned houses at that area (including this one). Thanks to those idiots after it they did nail doors and windows close… except that one window which is bit high but still enough to climb in.

Far, Far Away at Countryside:

Mighty Cowshed:

Towards to the Vanishing Point:

Fear of Wells (poor deer were dropped down into well through the rotten well cover):

Looking to the Fields:

Ghostly December:

Hand Above:

Last Candle:

Years After:

Suddenly… Light Was Born:

Heart Breaking Winter Light:

And then to another day and another location…

Snow Cold Home:

Five Days to Christmas:

This Cold Solitude (Beautiful Silence):

Last Game:

Dreams of Fading Away:

This Cold Dream:

Signs of Living (End of Time):

Last Candle:

Turn My Back to Light:

-----

And then to off-topic-bonus-photo! We shall return to same theme as week before, and even to same day and same place. More trees in blizzard, how interesting! Well, I love that drawing like mood that snowfall can add to photos, so… it is interesting.

That’s it once again, so until to next time it shall be. Merry christmas for everyone – Cheers!

These are all fantastic, but I particularly like "Towards the Vanishing Point", "Five Days to Christmas", and 'Signs of Living (End of Time)". You do a really good job with the soft lighting in the photos that have it.

The photos are amazing and your words are poetic.

Sorry about the smart phone bubble. That sucks

Beautiful Shots WH. Spectacular work on these! That first picture is absolutely jaw-dropping. I wish you could teach me how to do the processing that goes into your B&W's. Towards the Vanishing Point is another awesome view. I wanted to Thank You for all wonderful photos you have graced us with this year. Its ALWAYS a pleasure to scroll through the places your eye and lens takes us. Color or B&W we LOVE them all. Truly, T.

Have to thank one local guy from that photo. I have that much strong fear of wells that I probably wouldn't go close enough if I wouldn't know that there is dead deer. I'll think this will be good time for documenting slow change of that deer from here to future. Probably better to come, I suppose.

Thank you so much. Sometimes it feels that these short days (5 hours and 36 minutes today) are so damned gloomy, but when there is light... it is beautiful. So no need to complain about these short days after all.

Thank you so much! For me it is always hard to know how my "turn your brains off and write" words will work, especially because my english ain't too good.

And I agree. It feels so strange how most of the people seem to get everything from their phones and be 110% happy in that isolated bubble... and same time I am soft idiot who thinks that there should be "just two of us" time too, not just that me alone + you and phone time. But hey, 18 years together, so maybe that is just something to happen, I don't know.

Wow, thank you soooo much (this pint will be empty for you).

Magic word to my B&W's is Photoshop 7 and Alien Skin Exposure 5. That last one emulates many B&W films and also color films... and I'm absolutely in love with that thing. I often have vision in my mind how this view should look, and from that Alien Skin I often can find "film" that does it almost automaticly. Worth of try.

Some really fine b/w, especially like the subject and composition in 'looking to the fields'.
What are those crazy corner stoves called there?
They are great

Thank you very much. I suppose those corner stoves are called as "pystyuuni" (vertical oven). I love them too, and it's sad that especially these really nice ones are fading with these houses...

Thank you very much, and I think that those borders work in some pictures really well, giving older feeling (which is kind of strange because at old days these haven't been in this condition but... it's escapism I like, mood over everything or something like that).

Pot belly stove; it's too hot, it's too cold, never is it just right... enter the
Masonry heater: https://en.m.wikip...iki/Masonry_heater

It dates back to the Romans where they heat the marble floors from beneath.
True masonry heaters weigh a ton, literally.
Guess some those in your images are and some aren't masonry heaters.
Never saw those critters stateside, pretty damn cool

Yeah, those in these pictures ain't usual stuff in Finnish houses; mostly they have round ones, much cheaper I suppose than those (probably) hand made that were only in rich houses.
