This inactive-but-not-quite-abandoned hotel is a fun explore. The hotel tower was shut down and basically abandoned about ten years ago; however, it is attached to an active casino. So it is kind of a blend of both active site and inactive site explorations.

Mostly, you'll just see identical hallways in varying degrees of decay...

1.

2.

3. Black & white just to spruce things up

However, there is an area full of old slot machines and random odds and ends-

4.

But the best thing this place has to offer is the view from the top floor-

5.

(Not that there's a hole lot to see other than desert, but I like it.)

The hotel does still have electricity, but it is spotty. Most of the lights are either burned out of flickering. The elevators still work though. The west side elevator worked great and ran as smooth as a whistle. The one at the eastern front, however, was another story. Rickety and jerky, I regretted getting in it as soon as the doors closed. It got me back down without incident but next time I'll just take the stairs.

I talked to one of the current employees who told me the casino security guards say the building is rather haunted. They have to do a walk through of the abandoned hotel during their shifts. During the nighttime shifts, some of the security have heard their names whispered in the hallways and various weird sounds. At least a few guests did die in their when it was open, so who knows?

Exactly. My camera didn't even look out of place in the open area; before the exploration part I got some nice photos from a free attraction they have. Plus its nice to simply park and walk in!

Recently just explored this casino as well. Did you have any issues with one of the elevators constantly trying to take you to the 12 floor? When I visited the location the far right elevator kept taking me to the 12th floor even when I had not pressed a key.Other then that awesome photos! They really do the place justice!

Do you have any other images of some of the rooms here? I'd be interested to find out what parts have become dilapidated and others have not. I found a video documenting this location and it's strange how mixed this location is in terms of decay. Definitely a unique one, good find!

Definitely wouldn't use the elevator in an abandoned building...even if the power was still active.

You probably already know this, but just west of there is the town of Goodsprings with a well known watering hole, the Pioneer Saloon. It's been in continuous operation since 1913.

Also, it's in the middle of the Goodsprings mining district with some amazing underground exploration to be had. I spend a lot of time in that area.

Thank you! Yes that is the same elevator I had trouble with lol! The one at the other end of the building seemed in perfect working order but this one most certainly is not. It didn't try to take me to the 12th floor but I only took that elevator on my way back down so maybe that's why.

Hi Abby! I actually grew up over the hill from Goodsprings; been exploring the old mines since I was a child. My gandpa's brother actually owned the Fayle Hotel for a few years before it burned down. Its such a shame that it didn't survive.

The thing I love about the desert is that you just never know what you'll find even in areas you've been to many times. Like the landscape creates a false sense of banality but there is so much more out there than most realize.

Did you grow up in Sandy Valley? We should get together sometime and hit a couple of your favorite mines. I'm always open to a bit of exploring. I'm getting ready to head over to England for a few weeks of mine and cave exploring, but I'll be back the first weekend in June. Any time after that would work if you are interested.

Hello. I`m sure, folks that most of you will support me if I say that playing online casinos is a great thing. You can play at any time and from any place. Take a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer, find a comfortable position on your sofa or in the park and play as long as you like. Not bad, yeah? I`d like to try gambling canada online and make there my first deposit. How do you think? Should I trust them or not?
