Two locations, both seen 103 times before… but hey, that new lens and my one track mind. So here we go, again.

With Trees:

This Heart Freezing Coldness:

Should I Leave (to the Light):

Tears (Salt Water):

Let the Light Come Through Those Frozen Windows:

That Little Sauna On the Hill (sadly most of those tall pine trees were gone since my last visit):

And then to another morning and another place…

Before Sunrise:

Cold Loneliness (Still There):

Frozen in Time:

Remember (to Take Creepy Photos):

Death of Butterfly:

Silent Song of Ending:

Words (to Fill This Cold Emptiness):

Broken Thoughts:

That View (Again):

While World Was Frozen:

Last Dance:

Colors of Life and Oblivion:

Silent People:

Framed Memory:

-----

And then to off-topic-bonus-picture. Bloody dentist, of course at day when here were blizzard storming on. So you can believe it was fast driving after that experience to catch some snowfall photos. Here is one of those:

To the next time.

Great pics. I love the sunrise one and the light coming through on that blender top. You have a lot of snow wherever you are! It looks beautiful! The contrast against the red house too is awesome.

Incredible as always !

How sad and lonely for that bird to die like that trapped on inside looking out.

What brand of TV in the Silent People image?
It looks interesting, a push button tuner?
The veneer even looks intact.
Their heyday was in the 50-60's, a good era.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Thank you very much, and guess what: we don't have lot of snow at all! When I was child at this point of year we did have it lot more... or at least that is what I remember.

Thank you very much! And that is bad thing with these abandoned places, especially with birds... but even with bigger animals... wait for next weekend.

Thanks! For me that bird is probably most impressive detail there. And guess what? I often think how lucky I am with these plases.

Have to say that I don't remember. I will check it next time. Probably, as you did say, 50-60s, probably 60s stuff. Have to say that todays tv's look pretty damned boring comparing to design of those 50-60s things.

Have to say that I don't know. You know, I have this "I don't touch anywhere but floors and maybe doors" madness to keep them untouched and as real as possible. Feels so important capture photos that I know really were there.

Always a pleasure to see what you captured.
You conjure up some really unique sites that have lots of character and a lot of stone cold keepers which isn't easy to do.
Live models too; people and animals are the hardest to capture
For the quality and quantity of picture post members like you do here I think you deserve a much higher like count. This type of thread is time consuming and much more difficult to create than a quick one liner that gets 5 likes.
I bump you up and other members like you whenever I get a chance because of this.
I encouraged others to do the same.

That TV is an anomaly of the 'Jetson's push button' craze.
It actually started decades earlier with push button light switches. The idea of just pushing a button to do a task was infectious although not always practical.
The Dodge pushbutton automatic transmission was dangerous for little bastards like me who were allowed to play with the matching pushbutton heater control; we had a very steep driveway Guess that's one way to learn responsibility *shudder*.

As a kid I loved to play with the push button light switches at my great grandparents house.
They were cool.
In TV tuners not so good; contact issues would develop and they were hard to clean. The rotary tuners were no picnic either.
Zenith made the best b&w's in the late 50's into the 60's.
I saw one immaculate 20 inch metal box Zenith, all tube, in 76 that had the best image I ever saw on any b/w of any era. Perfect contrast and black, crystal clear, spot-on no distortion images. It was simple outstanding. I've seen hundreds of TV's from this era at that. It was a gem... wish I had that beauty.
It was hand wired with no circuit boards and the assembler was a true craftsman/woman. They took pride in their work and we're highly skilled; near perfect, neat wiring and soldering.
Even the owner of the repair shop marveled at it. Strange how some shined so brightly above the rest. Point; these semi mass produced electronics are not equal even from the same manufacturer/model especially hand wired chassis.

The good tube hand wired ones are extremely desirable, easy to repair, and individually unique. Ones with printed circuit boards with tubes are failure dudes; doomed to die. The PCBs harden and crack from the tube's heat, that in turn causes fine hairline cracks in the foil traces that can be nearly impossible to find. Only epoxy PCBs can take that punishment and these are normally found only in high end electronics of that era ie Techtronics oscilloscopes. These generally aren't worth the trouble and were produced towards the end of the tube era.

As a collectors item that item is worth something; it should be preserved if intact*.
The electrolytic capacitors go bad with disuse and age. These can be easily replaced. Other caps fail with age, but some hold up for a century or better. The tubes and CRT have been in limbo for half a century as they age with use if not jarred around. That set could be running with some TLC.

Personally I don't believe in taking more than images. In preserving a piece of history especially from this era the line blurs.
Even then a treasure can easily end up being junk that builds up over the years. Another reason as well as legal I choose not 'collect' trophies. Depending on the site and item, a case by case decision. With permission from the owner is best; I have a few cool relics I got like that from demo sites.
Now that I put some bad thoughts in your head, goggle that model and see what it is.
Lol, if it's a Magnavox (Maggotbox) maybe dead is better RCA and especially Zenith's are hot.
That set made me drool a bit.
For your sake hopefully it's veneer is peeling and it's insides are corroded.
Less distracting decisions that way.
Ain't I a bastard?

*Meh even if it's a Maggotbox, for nostalgia sake

Excellent set as always! Your attention to detail is phenomenal. The bird photo really stood out to me, and it seems I wasn't the only one. The snow is beautiful out there!
