In any other location and for any other use, this former military Torpedo Testing Facility wouldn't garner a second look. As it stands, however, it is overshadowed by possibly the most drop-dead gorgeous backdrop I've ever seen on an explore.

Situated on the banks of Loch Long in Scotland, what's left of the old Torpedo Testing Facility isn't anything special. Apart from it's cool previous use there isn't a whole lot left except half of one building and the old pier but I could shoot it against that scenery all day and be very very happy. Early in the morning, as the sun rose, all was still and quiet and it was utterly incredible. It was one of those moments that makes you realise how much you love what you do.

Wuv WW2 and cold war relics... look around enough you probably find some parts or even a fish or two.

Holy cow, this is beautiful. Not often you get to seamlessly combine UE with landscape photography.

It's impossible for you to continually post pictures that are wonderful. You have to mess up once, right?

This is great in every detail.

Cheers everyone. I love Scotland, and I may be heading back up there between Christmas and New Year. I know the UK is a small country compared with the USA but it's still a seven and a half hour drive just to the southern border!

Breathtaking. The backdrop is gorgeous, but the ruins themselves actually look pretty cool.
