This beautiful large house was built in Scotland in 1870, and since 2005 has been vacant and abandoned. Only kind of abandoned though, as we counted at least four or five squatter beds in various rooms - some looked old, others looked more recent it was hard to tell. They were respectful squatters though, as the place wasn't trashed at all and there was zero evidence of any drug use in there which was a relief.

The six-bedroom house is currently for sale for the same amount of money that a one-bed studio flat would cost in London.

Looks really nice, and surprisingly well kept for being abandoned in 2005. I wonder what would cause such a nice place to become abandoned.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

You're making me want to go back already! That is a very pristine spot. My mother lives in the countryside and it's crazy the price differences.

It was bought by a group of people in 1970, and when the last of them passed away in 2005 it was left to the various families who didn't know what to do with it. So it's sat ever since, thankfully it's location has kept it in decent solid condition and the roof has remained leak-free.

Wow, what a beauty. That mirror in the stairwell fucked with my head for a few seconds until I looked at it properly.

Whoever used to live there had good taste, especially with the Albert Bierstadt books. I've always loved his western landscapes.

Looks like a really cool house. I like the red trim, looks even cooler in its current state than it would if the house wasn't abandoned imo.

Great presentation - thanks!
#12 is my favorite shot with the excellent shadows and colour.

Great looking place, thanks to some solid pics. I really like how you use the window light throughout these pics, totally my kind of style.
