My group and I went to this factory in "Atlanta" this weekend, same location from dammband's "NO EXIT!!! ATL October 2016", the second location from that post to be exact. My pictures are taken from my cellphone and a nighttime, not nearly the quality of dammband's but maybe a different perspective for some of you. There was a sheet metal factory where we went into first, then adjacent theres a twine/artificial turf factory, and then finally an old paintball arena. Sadly my camera wasn't able to pick up much detail from the inside of the last two buildings so I didn't try. I plan on going back during the day very soon.

Honestly had you not mentioned it being the one with him and Sheavy I would have thought this was a completely different place. I'm interested in some new daytime photos of this beauty so I'm stoked you're going back.

Going to that power plant at night is damn sketchy. I remember climbing up the stairs on the side, the ones where someone has placed a ladder over one of the sketchier flights, only to find that the catwalk gratings had all been removed. Nope.

I got to the top of that ladder over the stairs and turned back and decided it wasn't worth the risk, didn't even see that the catwalks were missing. We ended up using three ladders on the outside of the building to get to the very top, you needed a boost up though.

Honestly I didn't recognize it at first until you mentioned astro turf. That place is a pretty nice explore during the day. Don't know if I'd want to be there at night.

Lowlight photography tip < Reply # 8 on 10/3/2018 12:23 AM > | Reply with Quote
You have some serious balls going in there at night! I completely understand the struggle of cellphone photography in low light. One thing I have learned that I think could help your pictures is moving your fingers as far away from the flash as possible. That will remove a lot of the white you see in your photos as the light will reflect less off your fingers back into the lens.
