Hopefully this works, you might have to click on each image to get the 360 formatting from Flickr. Not sure.

Edit: Crap, that didn't work. Going to try a different embedding technique.

These are sick. Question: what did you use to capture these? I did some brief research on 360 photography a little while ago but didn't really get any substance from it.

Here's my reply to a similar question that I think I marked private for some unknown reason.

---------------------------------------

Thanks guys, just got the camera last Friday and only got to mess with it a couple hours, but am going back out with it this weekend to a few of my favorite places and hope to get some good stuff.

https://www.amazon...anty/dp/B01D9LVL3G

That's the camera, was $400 when it came out, near instant price drop to $350, then it was $250 and now it fluctuates between $85 - $100. The 2017 model is out and about $180, but it's been getting a lot of bad reviews where as this one has decent reviews.

I had tried a few 360 apps for the phone and they all stunk, so decided to give this a try and it's pretty damn cool. Learning curve seems a bit steep as there's virtually no screen on the camera...though you can hook it up to your Samsung Galaxy S4 - S7 with no problem. Samsung S8s and iPhones are a bit hit or miss from reviews and I had issues initially connecting it to my phone (turns out I have to manually disconnect my smart watch in order for it to work).

It has dual f/2.0 180-degree lenses, but it's ALL automatic shooting as far as I can tell. So you can't change shutter speed or anything so not sure how good it is in real low light. You REALLY need a tripod as just holding it above your head doesn't exactly work, if you scroll down on the 3D image you see your head, your arm cut in half, etc.

After you take the pictures, you have to "stitch" them together using proprietary software. But, before you do that, you can go into photoshop and adjust brightness and stuff and then stitch it. You cannot crop it...or at least when I tried, it screwed it all up.

As I mentioned earlier, it doesn't easily connect to every phone....and the longest delay is 10 seconds before taking the image. Soooo, you are limited in that you have to hit the button and be able to run and "hide" behind something or else you'll be in the picture. According to the manual, the cellphone connection is good for ~15' so that gives you a nice head start.

EDIT: I should add that you can upload pictures directly to Facebook, but there's an issue. It changes the orientation to portrait which works fine at first, but then when you rotate the image/pan around the 360-degree space, the side views are all crooked on a laptop or TV or whatever. On a phone or a tablet you can change to portrait mode, it works fine. So it must orient to the phone's default while uploading. Hard to explain, but something that I wanted to point out.

I thought this place got torched a few years ago.

I guess not.

I'm new to the hobby so not sure if it was torched at some point or not, but Bing Maps shows a LOT of buildings that aren't standing any more. The indoor pool is now outdoors, the ice rink is gone, and a bunch of other buildings are gone as well.

Also, I've been going the past 2 years and never noticed this before...or it's a new development. The one side of the main building has it's top 2 floors collapsed and the debris filling in to the second floor. Another partially collapsed building is getting noticeably worse at the point of collapse as well. Someone is still periodically re-painting the pool though

Collapsing Building:

Further Collapse / Accordion Folding of another building:

EDIT: BTW - the last 2 pics from the original post are NOT from the same location, but rather somewhere on the drive there. If you're talking about that Theater, there was a lot of burnt wood in there so it's possible it did burn...but still standing with a bit of interesting stuff there.

The pool with the bridge or the rectangular pool? The pool with the bridge was always outdoors.

Maybe some of it was torched. Makes sense. That was a huge place.

I remember when all these places were open for business.

When I was a teenager, we spent a week at Kutsher's and witnessed what amounted to the last hurrah of the Borscht Belt. All-inclusive, all-kosher, vacation.

Eventually though, they couldn't compete cruise ships which offer pretty much same thing (but not kosher) for half the price and without that horrendous drive on Route 17.

For old times sake:

Oh nice, yeah I had heard of the Gear 360 but didn't bother to look into whether or not it was any good. I'm probably gonna be buying an S8 soon, I wonder if the newer models have better connectivity. Have you tried using your 360 for videos? If so was it easy/useful?

dont forget to mask out the tripod legs in the nadir

The formerly indoor pool is now also outdoors thanks to a partial demo. The walkway that is near by it too now leads to nowhere...they demo'd whatever it used to lead to. Since you already know what and where the place is (I'm not going to disclose it), look it up on Google Maps and the satellite view is pretty much current, then go to Bing Maps and use the Bird's Eye View and you can see it before this demolition. It's shocking how old the Bing Bird's Eye Views are

Pool from the outside, you can see where they stopped the demo.

Then the view from the inside leading up to the spot of the demo.

Inside the walkway to nowhere.

Outside the walkway to nowhere.

I'll have to try that. As you can tell from some of my pics, I'm not a photoshop expert and still trying to figure it out I assume just use the clone tool of something near by and get rid of it that way? I actually kinda like it in the 3D version as it looks trippy like you're floating over it. Ha ha ha.

what are you using?

PTGUI has a pretty good clone stamp etc. Alternatively I just got a nodal ninja with a nadir adapter that should at least minimize it I am in the same boat I can get a lot of it out but too much cloning gives it away.
