B&E/Break and Entry

So I know there's some other posts about this, but I'm really curious if anyone here has gotten caught doing B&E. Not just caught trespassing, but actually full on busting into a building.

A couple of my buddies and I did that for a mill last week and it was totally worth it. The more I think about it though, we would have gotten into pretty deep shit if they saw us literally hammering our way into a concrete wall. I've heard this can result in a felony, and that's something that I'm not tryna get obviously.

It is sort of an unwritten rule to just keep that sort of thing quiet. Like go ahead and do it but don't really talk about it online.

... but yes that can get you in much bigger trouble. It is also possible to be charged for it even if you didn't do it. So play nice with cops if thats what it comes to.
I have been charged with B&E, possession of B&E tools, and burglary. Its not a good time.

Why would you purposely commit a felony crime for no profit?
For a hobby?
I can't afford that kind of trouble and the arrest is just the beginning of it.

I completely agree, that's why I'm not planning on doing it again. It was worth it for sure, but we were really scrapin' by.

The only place you’ll be breaking into is prison

Are we living a life that is safe from harm? Of course not, we never are. But that's not the right question. The question is, are we living a life that is worth the harm?

Only time I ever go into a building is if a door is unlocked or there is just an open window, wall or anything similar. Break and enter is a felony and will stay on your record forever unless you are under eighteen.

If you're convicted as minor don't think the DOD and the FBI can't see it.
They can.
It can effect getting a security clearance and possibly more.
They can see expunged convictions as well.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna stick with this for my explores. Unless a place is super remote and isn't a priority for law-enforcement to keep track of, I'm not gonna make my own entrance.

As myself and others have learned the hard way, remoteness isn't any guarantee at all.
Ultimately the only thing that you control is what you do or don't do.

There is some real bad advice for Texans being spread around, no such thing as "b&e" in Texas check the entire section of the TX PC for definition of burglary and criminal trespass, see your own state's actual penal code do not rely on Internet legal experts.
