Yes, that's what I forgot! The raspberry wine!

Raspberry wine is for underground only. For roofs, you need red wine.

It's for when you've been arrested, and your large, imposing cellmate tells you that you have soft lips.

That's when white wine is appropriate. Or when you're having seafood.

I'll wear khaki shorts and a light neutral colored shirt (grey, dark green, etc). Shorts because it's hot in Texas in the summer.

Left pocket: car keys, Leatherman.
Right pocket: iPhone
Back pocket: Wallet secured inside fastened pocket
Hand: flashlight w/ "self defense" strobe setting

I make sure to turn off my phone beforehand so the IP devices don't pick me up.

And we all know when Rosé is appropriate... as a housewarming present for an acquaintance you don't actually like all that much.

Yeah, it works well as a camera, a flashlight, and in an emergency as an incendiary grenade.

A limited number of them were rereleased in the Korean market with a smaller battery, as Greenpeace didn't want Samsung putting them all in a pit and setting them on fire like last time. It's a great phone.

On that note, I have a buddy that found this absolutely wonderful blackberry wine, much better for rooftops than red wine.

Can someone explain what this means?

Basically, if your phone has wifi on, it is constantly broadcasting 'beacons' in an attempt to find known networks and apparently some devices may even try to connect to open wifi networks. For example, if I were to climb my school late at night with my phone's wifi on, it would connect to the network and if anybody spotted me the OCDSB could simply look at the wifi logs and see that I connected around the time of the spotting. I would generally recommend putting it in airplane mode for a wealth of reasons the wifi issue being the least of them. Also, there are these things called IMSI Catchers or 'stingrays' used by certain governments for 'intelligence' purposes and they monitor cellphone activity in an area so if you call somebody, it will know at what time you called, what phone you have, and where you are as well as who you're calling. Newer models can also record calls and texts...

About gear, here is what I bring:

If the location is urban/restricted with the possibility of being spotted:

Water (~1L)
Salted Almonds or trail mix
Nikon D3200 with 2 lenses
Tape
Knife (mostly self-defense and I do not recommend that you do too)
First aid (not much but I can fix a flesh wound)

If the location is not really monitored :

Same as above but with 2 race quads and fpv goggles, etc...
Also, I may ditch the D3200 in order to pack light with the drones.

I climb to forget about the world and the pain it causes

Not convinced. Sounds like it would be better underground.

Blackberry wine definitely sounds more geared towards RurEx than UrbEx to me

I dunno, I've never tried it underground, might be worth a shot. Still pretty nice for rooftops though.

Sadly, I'm a city slicker right in the middle of a big city, never had much chance to try out RurEx tbh. I'd definitely like give it a try at some point, maybe with some of the blackberry wine...

-business cards
-scooter
-Galaxy Note 7
-GoPro Hero 4 Session
-a can or two of cat food
-a can or two of beer
-bottle opener
-Ikea hex key
-miniature action figure of myself
-hoodie

This is the coolest list. Ever.
A Pirate flag and a Santa suite? Throw in the clown mask or the kazoo and I could never hope to top that.

(Edited for spelling. Okay, and the kazoo)

Basically what everyone else is saying.

Pack light, but also bring a baggie of baby-wipes when you're somewhere really dirty. Oh, and the gorilla suit. Can't forget the gorilla suit, they protect against all kinds of shit.

I used to favor the gorilla suit, until I found that mine was taking up most of the room in my backpack, and had to leave it at home...

But then, I found that a horse mask does well in a pinch, and packs away very light.
