That is actually the "behind" part of the door. It is the secured access door to a nuclear reactor outer shell. The other outside part is just a big steel round door.

I was kinda hoping someone on here might recognize it. It is at pretty much the lowest level of this facility. I thought it was a pretty cool design.

Thought that's what it was, but never been near anything like that.

Wow this place looks really neat, it's right up my alley! I love these huge abandoned industrial spots, just thinking about the kind of machinery and power that it took to run those places. Also, these are great shots. Nicely done

SOMA is a psychological horror game. The buildings in the game were named for Greek letters, so that graffiti is probably a "logo" for one of the sites in the game. The buildings were all underwater research development facilities. Someone just might be a huge fan of the game (I am!), but it seems a bit irrelevant to this abandoned site.

SOMA was amazing! I really loved the questions of morality and perspective they posed for the player. If you're into the gaming scene at all it's worth trying to work your way through it.

Some Stencil artists like taking things like these logos and blasting them places for other fans to find as an Easter egg or homage to it. Kind of fun happening across them. Kind of like the game half-life and the Lambda symbol pointing to somewhere where someone smashed some crates or you find an old rusted out crowbar. I'm into the non-gang related graffiti scene(the people who are artistic that when you see it you actually appreciate it some) a little bit and some of the guys are pretty decent about where they spray. My personal opinion is to leave abandoned places untouched other than at absolute most a stencil sprayed with the wash away spray chalk. It works really well as a marker in case you go subterranean and being able to navigate out through a maze of tunnels.

The giant hydro style hatches is probably what made someone think of spraying that logo on the wall. Looks like the airlocks in between the undersea bases sections.
