Here are some photos from one of my favorite spots in Australia! The yard had virtually no security and was pretty easy to get into. Active trains come through a lot and may stop there for a long time (hours and hours), but there is no means of yard security officers or cameras. I had gone more than a few times at night, but this time went around sunset and the lighting on the trains was gorgeous and kind of made me tear up a few times :') (whaaaat?! you don't like trains as much as me!?)

Anyway, I'm open to critiques and opinions on the photos. Here they are:

Nicely squared off shots
#2, the eye tag is unique and well done. Don't dilute it; make it the main portion of the pic.
Dusk/dawn shots can work miracles but you have only a few minutes. Pick your subjects and framing in advance.

Trains are fun.
Always great to see shoots of them.
Be careful on the tracks and on the steel; steel is completely unforgiving.
Falls on it frequently break bones or worse.

Yea absolutely my #1 around trains is always safety, especially in an active yard like that one! Trains can be remarkably silent when rolling your way!!

Great pictures! Did you encounter any wildlife there? I heard they're very common in places like that

That train with "eye" graffiti looks superb!!

Never any wildlife in the train yard, but I spent a lot of time traveling around and camping out and did indeed see a lot of kangaroos, spiders, and birds...the birds were the ones to look out for! During spring bird chicky hatching time, birds are very territorial and will swoop cyclists and runners. I got a chunk taken out of my cheek by a bird!!

That train with "eye" graffiti looks superb!! Looks like a really good place.

Was a great place, I really miss hanging out there! So fun to watch trains roll through.
