In all seriousness that is a great find and such an incredible set. The pictures of the wiring inside and such are great. Amazing to me that they didn't just catch fire on their initial power up.

Don't laugh! They did in Soviet Russia. People would toss out their flaming TV's from their high-rise apartment building balconies...

Most unfortunate. That circuitry (is it still called that when it's from that time?) is insane.

And thank you for sharing that commercial. I love old advertising and that is a definite gem. "Hey Frank, I bet people would watch more if we have a hot blonde jump up and down on a diving board... just to show how a TV works of course."
