Checking in on Dracula

I was not around when Dracula was in the assisted living facility, but I had been looking at this place for a while. Thanks to some help, I found what I had been searching for. It seems that Dracula would be happy here at first glance. They had some food, and the dishes were ready for a meal. After some research, I found that nothing had changed here for a long time.

1.

2.

3. Rust is part of any great recipe

4.

5.

6. This one...

7.

8.

9. Very accessible toilet for the elderly.

10. They decided to go with the gauntlet instead of bingo for the weekend activity

11. Maybe Dracula had a nurse on staff

12. I'm not sure that would provide the sun protection, maybe they only go out at night.

I am referencing an awesome post that I found out about during the trip. Looking back on the photos it's funny how some things just stand out. I only noticed the similarities when putting this post together, but Sheavy's pictures are awesome from the other trip. I can link the post if it would be helpful.

Lol pretty sure the gauntlet was Dracula's idea .

Really love the lighting in 1,5,and 6, and that toilet shot is awesome! Glad we could help with getting to see this, and it was nice to see that almost nothing has changed here.

Hopefully I can find time to get my 35mm shots scanned this week and get some pics up.

I just kept saying "Oh My BEEP" over and over. Then I hit shot 11. OH MY G**

What the ever loving F*** is THAT???!!! Does Becton Dickson know half their stock is on the floor here? I've never seen a "shooting gallery" but I think you found one. Were these used? (helloooooo Hep B & C ) or unused? Scary thoughts dude. Be careful around those things.

Awesome shots as usual. I, clearly not a photographer, look at them with normal eyes and they are very engaging.

As always, thanks for sharing yet another great find. You guys really are talented in finding these places. I still have much to learn.

I like the Walking Dead vibe that #10 gives off with all the stuff hanging from the ceiling. Cool shots, thanks for sharing.

This may be the end of the post, but you ain't seen the end of me!

Drug equipment is actually not an uncommon find for me in abandoned buildings. One abandoned mental health facility I was in in the late 90s had a bunch of small baggies and razors on a sink. The other local kids must have collectively designated that the cocaine sink.

Love the gauntlet!

Thanks! Yes, even though you mentioned that, I had no idea until looking at the previous post to write mine, how little things have actually changed. I was very happy with f/1.8 for the toilet.

Yes, I am grateful to y'all for the help on this one. It may have stayed on the bottom of my list, but maybe I'm getting better at sliding, lol. Yes, I bet the film from this place is awesome too!

"Oh my BEEP", thanks! lol. Used or unused can be somebody else's determination. I kept my distance because I did not want to find out. My view is if they are laying around, I will treat them all as used and stay away. Thanks for the praise! I think I just showed up with a camera

Thank you! And yes, I would definitely agree that statement of Sheavy's photos.

Thanks! It does have a little of that feel to it.

Thanks! I would echo part of that and say I have come across this type more than once. It shows the dangers are not always just people, or structures, but also whats laying around, and who else has been around.

It's sometimes common in some areas. I just hope not to run into somebody while they are using it. This looks to be in the same shape for a long time.

Showing up is more than half the battle. This is what I tell myself every morning at 4:30am when the D*** alarm goes off and I have to make the gauntlet run thru ATL traffic to work....and back again. Showing up is half the battle. Get thine arse to thine job.

Same is true with UER photography. Show up. Have camera.

Now talent......that's the half you guys have and I still have eluding me. I may forever haunt you with my blurry, sideways, shit shots, but hey, yall love me anyway LOL I embody the "TRY" part of the equation.

Yeah, even the photos that are blurry or taken with a cellphone, from anybody, tell part of the story about the explore. A lot of "TRY" part of the equation helps in the end. It's the only way to go! There are a lot of talented people here, that is the cool thing about UER .
