this site has been
heavily trafficked for a while, resulting in a lot of damage and graffiti. the graffiti is pretty amazingly dumb; my girlfriend and I had some fun just reading it all. lots of dicks, and statements about dicks.
I didn't take as many photos as I should've; part of the reason I was there was to do a portrait project I had to finish, so a lot of my digital shots and all of my film shots were dedicated to those. probably going to head back sometime, since it's not too far from my house!
(I am aware that my exposure is messed up on a lot of these shots; I'm still learning!)
it was nice to finally see it!
the place has certainly seen better days. the black surface below the front wall is indeed the former porch awning.
"why"
my girlfriend remarked that the tag of the smiling face w/ sunglasses was the one vaguely competent piece of graffiti in the whole place.
there he is again!
classic. the stairs to the basement are visible through the hole; I didn't get any pictures, because my flash was broken and my flashlight was not nearly sufficient for my camera.
cozy kitchen.
no more faucet.
not a very pleasant-looking closet.
the floor throughout the entire house was in this condition, if not worse.
do
not do it!
the tub was filled with insulation, tile, and broken glass
really kicking myself for not taking more pictures. hopefully the film portraits turn out well; I like to think that I'm significantly better at portraits than environment shots, at least.
