Was there this weekend. I second that it's not really abandoned as we encountered close to 100 different people. Absolutely do not go alone or late in the day!

Thank you for the warning(:

only a matter of time before this place burns to the ground or someone from UER dies from a stab wound to the chest

Visited this spot and a nearby building about a month back. While trying to find a POE to this building, we were confronted by a woman (either crazy or a crackhead) bawling to herself, wandering around in confusion. After finding a proper place to enter the building, we were overcome by the smell of shit along with the EXCESSIVE number of homeless people living in the building. If you plan on going alone, don't. If you plan on going to "see the unseen", don't. This building is utterly trashed not to mention the fact it is unsafe to enter. Take major precaution if you plan on doing a thorough exploration. In my opinion, it's blown up and not worth the risk. The building across the street is much more fun in my opinion. While the threat of people is still prominent, the payoff is much greater...Also, regarding the larger building, keep an eye out for syringes. Personally I have no intent on contracting HIV. As said a million times in this forum, the building is like a city...If you plan on going it might not be the worst idea to bring some sort of protection. DO NOT GO AT NIGHT!!

Got caught by the sheriff here, they seem to know how dangerous it is in there and advised I leave or don't go in with my camera equipment, went a second time and can see why, this place is overrun and the building down the street

The homeless and tweakers can only eat rat meat and twinkies for so long until they begin to thrive on the flesh of unfortunates from UER who still test fate by going here. Literally nothing to see in the bldg that hasn't already been posted why do ppl continue to go to a place that requires you to carry protection?

Pure stupidity.

Truth. Why indeed?
Why do PBed members keep coming back and posting in the same threads?
Obstinate and stupid, a winning combination

I confess I went there this past Saturday on a failed facebook meetup and so I went in solo and it ended up hella sick, a truly great experience. Except for being rejected and denied by those who I am pretty sure were part of that meetup group. But, it's said to be dangerous in there, and I just might be that dangerous element. Yah I did meet a lot of typical characters that you would rhink would be in there. And so to end this post, Does anybody know what the contents of all those half filled bottles had is?

Were you orange backpack dude?? Where the hell were you?

And it's pee in the bottles. Oddly enough this is not my first meth den encounter. My neighbor growing up was on a hot one for a few years and would lock her kids out, then all the neighborhood kids would break in to see what was going on. It was meth

yep... I'm the one with the orange backpack and you know about the backpack because of FB messaging, right? Sorry about blowing the meetup, but yeah I saw at least 10 people walk in and out that looked like they "didn't belong" whom I assumed were the FB urbexer's, but they weren't... Guess that means there was multiple urbex or photographers coming and going. I experienced very uneasy feels in the garage wherein one of two painters did the staring thing and if I had remained in the vicinity I'd probably be dead or in the hospital... I too was a co-dependent of some kranked up! friends, but thankfully that's in the past. I think...

Yeah about Facebook! We were looking for you figuring we wouldn't miss an orange backpack! There was most definitely something going on that day and a bunch of people were there trying to get someone inside to leave without much success. I'm wondering if those were the people you met? They kept asking if we were there for "the other thing that was going in". So weird about the painters, I stood and watched them for about 5 minutes and they didn't even acknowledge my presence! Hope to see you for real at another explore soon!

I hadn't considered this, but if enough of us are interested I don't see why we couldn't fit in. Even going in with 2/3 people has felt sketchy in the past, a whole group might be cool..

I think if we all just bring some meth and smoke before we go we will have no problem with anyone there and we will fit right in (:

Well, it's happening.. what has been rumored for so long. This thread might be coming to an end! These flyers are taped up throughout the entire building. We talked to some residents today & they confirmed that it is all going down.

we weren't searched by police. we were actually called over by two of the residents on the street before and they kindly gave us advice about the rules and how to go about the very active building.
