Let me preface this by saying we have no idea what this building was, and google hasn't been much help in uncovering it.

We found this building surprisingly close to home. It consists of 3 separate buildings, one main hall and two smaller rooms. A friend thinks it may be a school house, but there's not much in, or on, the building that tells it's story.

Near a construction site and new apartments, it was pretty high profile, being just off a main road. Very cool though, obvious that the homeless use it as shelter during the night, so I imagine if we had come at a different time we would have ran into someone.

Guesses on what this building may have been? I've never seen something with this kind of structure before. Maybe an old farm house? A shed for tools?

I think you're right. After further research it turns out the area that the apartments right next to it are built on, used to be a ranch.

#7 is an old radio. Probably had an AM/FM receiver, 8 track, and turntable.

Judging from the graffiti, as well as their performance in November, I would guess it was the headquarters of the Texas Democratic Party....
