Electric Fences

Recently I have been doing a little traveling outside the country and have noticed that electric fences are used for more than just cattle and industrial uses. Everything I say here should be taken with caution as I do not know with what kind of fence you are dealing with nor many other factors that could affect your safety.

First off NEVER try and climb an electric fence. No matter what!!! They often are not capable of holding a human weight. Also Wearing rubber does not protect you and such ignorance can lead to serious injury depending on the voltage.

Cutting the power does not make it safe either. The fence could still have an additional generator or power source. As well as there may be an left over residue of the power that can still shock you.

Sorry This Is Such a short first post I will finish it when I get some more time.

I recently ran into one of these. Terrifying looking thing. Stood nine feet tall and hummed. I snapped a photo of the thing and immediately reversed course with a bad feeling. Sure enough, I pick-up rolled up as I was leaving (lots of real estate to cover on this one so it was taking a while to cover ground). I walked toward the guy in the truck trying to look as approachable as possible. He threw me off with his first question, "What kind of camera is that?"
Turns out he was a photographer as well, mostly for hobby. I apologized and told him (most of) the truth: The property looked interesting from the street and from that far away, looked more like ruins than a site that was watched or used. He said his main concern was my safety if I tried to cross over the fence. I told him he had nothing to worry about.
Moral of the story: If it says it's an electric fence and they're not bluffing, there's a damn good chance your on CCTV too. If someone cares enough about it to electrify the perimeter, than they probably have other safeguards in place too!

Ostrich farms are very scary. In Texas you never know what's behind a fence...

Tried it once. It was rather underwhelming. Not that the assumed results sound any better.

Results depend on V+, your grounding air or worse, and the conductivity of the urine.
Keep trying.
You deserve satisfaction
