A heart.

That time, while exploring, that I was touched by the spirit. ;)

Nothing says juxtaposition quite like chicken coops in front of highrise apartments in Gangnam. This was on the edge of a massive abandoned area, and has since been removed, so it was still in use but I was urban exploring at the time.

Christmas tree.

Christmas tree.

Well, since it's been a few days...This is the best I've got, even though it's a bit boring. But I'll share a little story to make it somewhat more interesting. This is from the roof of a local construction site last winter. Adventures here started when the crane (not pictured) first showed up on site. It was super dark and barely visible from the road so brother and I decided to climb it one night. About 40 feet up and then, WHOA!...the whole area became lit up with red and blue lights. We scurried down as fast as we could as it became apparent that they had not seen us. It turned out that it was the weekend of the sheriff's "Click-it or Ticket" campaign in which they obsessively pull people over for seatbelt violations. Being at the intersection of 2 major highways, traffic stops continued for the duration of the evening as we hung out. Needless to say, we never made it back up the crane. Over the course of the following several weeks, we went back a few times as the building became more and more awesome. As completion neared, it actually became quite a fun exploration. The building is very well designed with all sorts of architectural creativities. Our final visit was during Christmas weekend. If only that forklift driver would have placed the tree a little less crooked.

How about something Halloween related.

No? Necklace, ring, tie pin, nothing? I'll broaden the scope to accessories of all kinds. Hats?

Writing on the inside cover of a book

Well, it's not the inside cover of a book per se, but this thread has been at a standstill for a week or so, so I'm pulling the plug with this here American History Book from and abandoned high school just outside of Dallas, TX.

This iron mine gate, somebody made short work of it, I'd guess with a bottle jack.

I know I went so recently, but a rooftopping shot is the best thing to post for that. So here are a couple of views from downtown Ottawa.

Being watched without being seen.

This is me looking out the window of an abandoned building and realising I'm next door to a UNESCO World Heritage Site where they're currently having a traditional music festival and about 100 people are looking in my direction. It was nice having the music while I explored though.

Something abandoned from a foreign country (not the country you find it in). And not manufactured overseas, actually a concept or product that's foreign.

Oh this is tailor-made for me...it's so hard to choose dammit. But for sheer beauty it's got to be this one.
