The catwalk itself is a bit destroyed -- it perhaps can be done by walking on the white metal section? I wasn't about to test that theory:

Also this shot is incredible!

Here's some of the pictures I took while I was there in April.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Those that are new to Urban exploration and or that are getting now into photographing UE. I want you to know that these pictures are taken with simply a Canon Powershot S95. 300 buck or so camera that fits in my pocket. 15 second exposure propping camera on surfaces I found that looked close to straight.

I unfortunately did not find the way up to the top of the silos this trip. I only entered the site once and at night .

Guess what guys!!!? ......

chickenbutt

I personally like pictures with some blur and that are from a cheaper camera with no editing. monkeyhawks pictures look adventurous and exciting. Pictures that are all super clean and lit up are beginning to bore me nearly to death. Pics that look exactly the way I'd see it in person, make me loose interest in going to the place. With monkey Hawks pictures it is difficult to identify the location but you still get to see a lot of what the spot is about making it a desirable location for me to go to to see what else the spot is about!

None of the things you ever post make any sense to me. Like where exactly does all this shit talk/negative response come from, or make sense here? I simply posted some pictures from my experience at the silos and wrote about it. I think you guys that dis-like me are crazy.

Perhaps you's that respond negatively to my contributions here are jelous of me and hate me because of all the stuff I have been able to achieve solo. I don't dis-like anybody on UER. I love everybody.

I agree with you. Deuterium sent me a message saying not to post photos with so much graffiti. Graffiti and urban exploring or exploring in general will always be right next to each other. I do feel this person feels jealous. I have met with other Uer members and no one complains aside from deuterium. Not sure what else to say but keep up the excellent work everyone

Hey,
Yep I reached out to you about your other posts suggesting you post that type of photos at graffiti specific forums. Rest assured I would've said something similar if someone posted a whole bunch of photos of nothing but books they found in an abandoned school as the main subject or gallery with a picture for each kind of nuts and bolts from an abandoned factory. Those sets would be greatly appreciated in forums tailored to collectors of those stuff but myself as well as many others would find those annoying.

Would you agree that graffiti forum members would be annoyed if you dumped a whole bunch of photos that only has graffiti as incidental inclusion?

It sounds like he felt the same way in his sarcastic response.

i just wish that you'd stay lighter on graffiti photos. There are forums out there for that sort of stuff where they probably wouldn't appreciate a large gallery of graffiti free photos.

Hi. Good to meet you too! So I have had positive feedback from full/regular members about my posts. No one has complained about graffiti until now. Graffiti and urban exploring run parallel. Your a senior member so you should already know this but thank you for the reply.

Keep exploring 🏅

Some photos from a couple of trips over the summer. IndustrialPanda and I encountered one of the denizens of the silos on my last trip there. We ran into him on the way down the long staircase in the south tower so there was no way out without going directly by him. We ended up talking for a minute about his life in the silos, saying he scrapped metal for money and was able to charge his phone with the lights that illuminate the mural. He said he had lived there for a couple years and planned to reside there until he can no longer. Definitely an interesting perspective.

Sounds like a pretty ballsy encounter.
He didn't shoot at you did he?
So you just trying to get this thread back on track after MMD trashed his own thread and account?
You are a helpful bastard.

So me and IndustrialPanda were descending the staircase when we spotted him cooming up from below us. Panda hung behind a couple levels while I went down just a little more to one of the mezzanine levels in the shaft so I had some more space.

The homeless man, I didn't catch his name, was about two floors below when he looked up and gave me a gruff, "What's up." I responded the same, and from there the encounter played out pretty casually.

He told me he didn't live in the makeshift house with the door on the bottom floor, but had found a different room in the silos for himself. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy who was down on his luck. So many explorers come through the silos that messing with them would just cause trouble for him.

Regardless of what happened previously in the thread I think this site should definitely continue to be documented, as far as I can tell it has been blowing up on social media recently so I would not be surprised if security gets tightened up in the near future.

A lot of hard times going around.
If traffic increases there and even if not, someone will eventually get themselves perished through carelessness.
Lol, it's a playground alright, the devil's.

Be safe; every footstep and handhold counts.

This place has been blowing up for years, then got closed, then re-opened.
I don't think they can secure this completely, but they can definitely close the current opening(s) to make it harder.

As far as I can tell, neighboring businesses don't seem to care a lot. One guy told me to get off his property and genuinely didn't know why I was here.
