I'm aware that the baker has been beat to death and that EVERYONE knows about the gorgeous place, but I decided to go there recently with my father and check out the military stuff there too. I got some decent pictures, I need my sensor cleaned really bad so some of these will be bad.
I was able to get inside of the baker but my father was not due to the small size of the entrance that we found, I was able to get a few pictures inside but all ended up messed up due to autoflash and the general fact that I insisted on using manual-focus.

Yeah, you've got to be pretty little to get inside. Sad he didn't get to make it in.

I keep hearing mixed reviews about this spot these days.
One day i'll hear about people getting ticketed the second they're on the grounds, next day I'll hear about about a great visit. I've heard rumors of motion-sensors, cameras, guards and patrols...and i've also heard that the above rumors are just rumors. The hotel of mystery and intrigue. Ha ha.

It's a great location, and I'm glad you got to get some nice shots of it. Always happy to see this one pop up, honestly.

The hotel is across the street from the police station. they do monitor it regularly and there is a camera on the back of the building. If anyone trys to explore it they definitely run the risk of going to jail and receiving a $500 ticket. Haha, I know there's a few full members that could attest to that.

Thankfully I've always been lucky.

We walked around the place for a good 15 minutes and nothing happened, lots of people stopped by and walked around and looked through the boards. As soon as i got inside i heard a family yelling 'Theres someone in there!' and sounding mildly amused. There was some ironic graffiti right at the entrance that said 'I got you on camera now motherfucker!'

For $1000 and the proper liability insurance, they'll let you in for 2 hours....

As one who has had the pleasure of meeting Mineral Wells PD at the top of the Bell Tower in person, I can tell you what will probably happen (unless you're either a great persuader or a real dickhead - but anyone falling within a standard deviation in personality that's not committing some other crime should fall into this category):
They WILL enter the building and they will ticket you a very hefty fine for Criminal Mischief. However, for another 50 bucks, you can get a deferred adjudication, and for a Class C, which is what this is, that just means you can't get into any more trouble in Palo Pinto County for six months, or the ticket will go on your record.
The ticket is pretty brutal for a Class C, around $400.00. If you add the Deferred payment to that total, they have pretty much maxed out the allowable fine for a Class C Misd.

That said, the ticket is still far preferable to the 1,000.00 plus insurance crap. I'm not even sure if they offer that anymore, since I was trying to verify the amount for someone a while back, and could no longer find this option on the developer's website.

Make no mistake, the police are still within their right to arrest and charge you with a higher offense. That is still a risk for this location.

They get quite active come dawn, don't they?

We spent the night in the bell tower my second visit there. I found the constant high-pitched bat chirps and occasional black steak in my peripheral kind of cool. Once you get past the whole, "disease-infested-mouse-with-wings" thing, they're not so bad.

I went there just a few weekends ago and we had a lot of fun. It was night when we went so I really didn't get any good pictures. But I agree, you have to be pretty small to make it in
