I'm here now in Manila area and able to go anywhere--- deserted bases or crumbling infrastructure.

I have a friend who's spent a good deal of time in the Philippines. It doesn't look like he did much exploring there, and considering how dangerous the country is, I can't say I blame him. I could double check if he has any advice.

I spent a month there back in January. I didnt get time to do any urban exploring. For the most part in Manila, if a place is abandoned. Its a safe bet that a bunch of the homeless have all ready moved in.

That said, you can search in the Fort Bonifacio part of Manila for some WWII era tunnels. Come to think of it, i did sneak in some underground parts of Intramuros that were blocked. You might find something there too.


Other then that, for experience value as a traveller. I recommend going to for a walk at the Divisoria market. Dont bring any valuable tho. I had no issues, but pickpockets are quite active there.
