| | | Hey everyone, first post. I'm posting on the behalf of a group of new explorers. A few days ago we went down to this place we heard about, but weren't able to spend much time there. So we decided to come back, better equipped, and got to check the place out a lot more. Today we checked out an old medical center that's been empty for about 20 years. There was a fire inside it about 10 years ago and the building is mostly cleared out. Graffiti was minimal and the place was really cleared out as a result of the fire and lack of activity. We checked out both the basement and the roof. It was neat-o! First we had to climb up to get in. We brought a ladder after having to scale a 20 foot wall like ninjas the first time. Any photography tips would be welcome, because we are very new at photography in general. I think our biggest issue this time was lighting, but that's because we had pretty uneven flashlight lighting and it was kind of rushed. Thanks for checking out our post - expect to see us around the forums!

| | | As far as talking about photos, there's always plenty you could try different or change. The biggest thing is if your newer to shooting in these conditions (very low light, etc) to not be scared to do a bit of reading on how to shoot in them. For getting into technical stuff I can create another reply, but I've got some more general tips time has taught me for shooting. First, don't be afraid to take a tripod and use a lot less light. There's almost always a tripod in my bag/backpack when I go. By cutting down on flash/ flash lights you cut down on any light pollution that might be hitting windows (etc.) that could get you seen. This isn't to say there's no use for flashes, i use speed lights/ external lighting A TON, but it totally depends the shot, and the location. Just keep that in mind. Second, When I first started exploring I use to roll in huge groups with friends (5-6) it appears you guys had 8? Group explores are one of my favorite things since they cut down the level of anxiety greatly, however I found they were awful for shooting. I always felt rushed while trying to lay out a shot while others were moving ahead, or even if I wasn't rushed, I just felt like I was holding others up. For shooting, I usually go in a group of 2-3 and once I started doing that my shots were 100x better. It's just much more relaxed I guess. Might not be true for all, but may be worth a shot. Also the chances of being seen significantly drop. aside from that, I like the style of the set. Keep it up. If you guys are ever near brunswick/ savannah shoot me a message.
