| | | So I took off yesterday at the crack of dawn to make the 5 hour drive to the location in the first pic. After a rather blatant "walk up to it like you own it" approach in broad daylight, I left my partner concealed beside the front door to check the front of the building for a poe. Didn't take long to find one but upon returning to retrieve my partner I could tell right away she wasn't going to do it. Seen that puppy dog, I think I'm going to cry look before. Entirely my fault, I should have known better than to leave her there alone to think about it. If you're new to this, like she is, rule #1 in my book: NEVER stop to think about what you're doing. You'll find a way to talk yourself out of it. 1. So as a consolation prize for this epic fail, we ended up at the shithole in the rest of the pictures. I'd seen pics of the place from a few years ago but I must say, the past few years have not been kind to this place. There was a car parked at the front door so I knew someone else was there. I spotted them quickly and they weren't trying to conceal themselves at all, so I figured they belonged there. I purposely bumped into them and the guy claimed to work for a developer that had recently purchased the property. He claimed they were considering restoring the place to some degree. In my opinion the majority of the buildings were reusable, mortar and concrete structures can remain structurally sound for a century, but those places went out of business for a reason. But I didn't expect to get into the one, just wanted to scope it out since I hadn't ever even drove by. Parked out front, and security rolled up pretty quick. Talked to them, they're supposed to call the cops first then approach people. Being on those roads at all is trespassing, all private property. To tell me that I shouldn't go to a particular location because if I do I'll get busted, is meaningless and offensive and lets see, it was quite wrong too. I was just making the point that occasionally the security status of places changes, and what most people believe to be true or have experienced isn't always the case. For what it's worth though, I don't think SS was even trying to demean you. It's hard to judge with no context, but he didn't say anything about you being inexperienced personally. Lashing out in return only shows that you took it as an insult, and possibly believe that you have to be inexperienced to get caught exploring. Neither of which is the case. Try not to get so worked up in the future. After so many hours of frustration from fights with strangers online, it's become glaringly obvious that it's always best to just ignore things that bother you. Look at how well that worked earlier in this thread, before you came back at SS over a month after he made that comment. I bet he forgot he even said anything prior to you bumping this.
