SOOOO Many things wrong with that post:

1. NEVER give out location details in a public thread.
2. Your post has no story or any interesting details about the explore.
3. You didnt post any pictures of your explore.

THIS ISNT TWITTER. Nobody gives a shit about what you did unless you bring us something interesting to read and/or look at.

And why was that post edited 2 times? It took you 3 tries to say you went somewhere?

Wanna try again?

3rd edit is a charm. [EDIT: Now 4th edit with the Subject change] Before you post click the "SpellCheck and Preview" button. It'll show you what your post will look like before it goes up. If the pics are screwed up, you have typo's or just want to add comments, thats your last chance before the entire internet gets to see it.

Ahh, gotcha! First "real" post to the Uer forums, minus a reply or two.
Thanks for the heads up!

WOW! Alright let's get a few things hammered out here. First, you've been a member on this site just as long as the person who posted the pictures in the thread. A mere month. You may very well be a full member but that doesn't give you the right to flat out cyberbully someone with your ego approach. The kid is brand new here and was probably just excited to post pictures of his first solo mission, take it easy! I am nowhere near perfect and I'm the first one to admit it. I was so clumsy when I first joined here, but over the years I've grown and learnt to mature up. Now, I try and contribute whichever way I can. You somehow have this idea that you're perfect? Can we start judging and bullying you on your mistakes in life? For the record, this church is well known not only to urban explorers but to everybody else in that particular area. It's mentioned on other non-UE websites and is even labelled on numerous maps which can be bought at every convenient store around. So it's not really that much of a "top secret" location. Trust me, we have at least 5 significant secret abandonment in this city that none of us have even bothered to mention on the forums. This church is far from anything secret.

Second, have you ever thought that maybe the guy meant to post it in the "Post Your Newest" thread and got confused? Or maybe he meant to post it in the Winnipeg thread? In reference to your "you didn't post a story or details about the explore, nobody gives a shit" statement along with your "Wanna try again?" attitude, I've only got a few things to say/ask. Have you actually paid attention to the Edmonton thread? How about the Winnipeg thread? Or how about the "Post your newest" thread? Or even better, how about every other thread on UER? There's plenty of posts that have no story but plenty of pictures. Are you willing to start bullying each and every person who has made a "pics/no story" post on UER just so you can try to prove a point?

Third, instead of being a complete airhead about it, why not help out a fella? Why not send him a private message explaining some of his mistakes. I know there's a whole FAQ section but the guy is just as new as you. Maybe he just forgot to read it, or didn't see the section all together. A simple, "Hey man, I know you're just as new here as I am, but here's a few things I found wrong with your post and how to fix them. I wouldn't want you to get in shit, especially when you're brand new". But of course not. Instead, you wanted to show everybody how big your ego is. I'm sure that not all moderators on here will fully agree with every point I make but I as sure as hell know that quite a few of them will look at your reply post and think to themselves, "WTF? You've been a member just as long as the guy making the post! Plus, UER doesn't really take cyberbullying lightly".

I've met Avatar and a few mods in person and I have the highest respect for them. I will have a discussion with them about how we can make UER a more welcoming place for new explorers and how we, as a whole community, can dealt with bullies swiftly because that shit does not belong in a place like this. If a person was habitually posting addresses of abandoned buildings then I would understand. However, bullying someone who is just as new as yourself, in order to lift your own ego is absolute bullshit and should not be tolerated! You may have had a bad day but that's no excuse to take your anger out on someone else.

By the way: So not Soooo. Didn't not didnt. Isn't not isnt.

P.S. Nice to see that church hasn't changed one bit. Thanks for the pics niteratzclub. Next time, just post in the Winnipeg thread Keep up the good work!

That was his entire post. Nothing else. He also gave the name of the location AND the city and province. If you dont believe me, ask a moderator to show you the edits.

Secret or not its bad form to name a site. I got e-raped my 2nd week here by just being ASSOCIATED with someone who mentioned a site name.

Honestly I really dont care where someone posts something - I read it. I read ALL the threads (because I have no life).

Could I have been more helpful - absolutely. Should I have been - not sure. I will say that I probably did take out some frustration on this guy. I was working on bracketing shots for the 1st time and it wasnt going so well. No excuse but I will say I was loaded and ready. So I will take this opportunity to apologize publicly for my tone and lack of assistance.

With regards to being helpful - you have no idea. I have reached out to about a dozen people like this guy in my last 3 months privately and advised them on many things UER related.

Finally, your post ripping me is exactly what you are complaining about! Turn every one of those questions below and insert your name for me and see how it looks. So maybe following your own advice and reaching out to me privately would have been a better use of your time than a massive diatribe on what a piece of shit I am.
