Not sure if this should be public - it IS a news story on the web but didnt want to take any chances of getting my peepee slapped.

Here's one (not airports though) for you Left-Coasters:

This is really cool! I've still never been to an abandoned airport myself. I'd love to see some of these!

LOL I really feel like you're good here. These articles go viral on Facebook like crazy anyway. But if you'd like me make this thread into a private one I can. If I did that you would still be able to see it yourself since you posted it, but other basic members wouldn't.

But really, I feel like this is completely ok personally.

Stapleton's now a generic suburban development, and the former control tower is being converted to a bar/restaurant.

Robert Mueller is completely gone - you cant even tell there was an airport there at all. Its been turned into yuppie townhouses.

I'm hoping some of our European friends may be able to shed some light on the ones over there. Spain had 2 or 3 alone!

Nice post! I would absolutely love to explore an abandoned airport, mostly just to say I've done it, considering they are very unique/rare locations to find. The closest I've ever been is Mirabel, but that one is being demolished / being used by various companies in the area.

99% sure this thing is why they shut down Castellon-Costa Azahar Airport.
