1: Sort of a boring shot, frankly, my eye is pulled towards your horrid watermark.
2: I would've photographed this building from somewhere else, the tree branch is in the way, and covers the photos subject. Your foreground is a huge watermark, and is displeasing to the eye.
3: Your depth of field is far too shallow for this shot, and the watermark makes the whole image feel flat.
4: Oh god, Everything is wrong with this composition.
5: Watermark ruins the depth of the shot.
6: over sharpened, the brightness of the watermark pulls away from the photo.
To quote DJ Craig:
OK, so about a billion people have said that the watermark is distracting, and takes away from the pictures, which it does. I just wanted to add a general thing about watermarks here: They're really easy to photoshop out! They will never stop anyone from steeling your photos! They just annoy the people who actually want to enjoy your photos. Plus these are web quality anyway, so would not be very useful for anyone to steal... |
This may seem a little harsh, but this is the critique section..
Your watermarking is absolutely ruining your photos and makes them look really amateur. If your watermarks were less invasive people will be more likely to take your photos seriously, and be more willing to share your work.
I easily (though rather lazily) removed your watermark and moved it. Now I am able to enjoy this photo. The photo has a much nicer depth, and now the image doesn't feel "blown out" from the contrast of the watermark.
