How this happened:

>Hello sir or madam.

>We would like a sign manufactured that reads "SECURITY GUARD"

I thought it was pathetic that they used a Home Depot hasp and a $6 pad lock to secure an $11 billion Surperconducting Super Collider in Texas

This one not all that hilarious but this is a pretty new stadium in my area that has keycard to open the door for staff, normally open during a game, but this night somebody im assuming staff left the door propped open, letting me walk and and check out the place late at night, which was really pretty. Sadly I didn't get any photos of this example but at the weekend I checked out a place which had big fencing put across all the old gates and car park entrances but a wall no more than a half a metre high in some places running along the perimeter.

No fence, no 'No trespassing signs' and no door? This place looks like they started to tear it down but stopped for whatever reason, also scrappers destroyed it bad.

'No trespassing signs'

If there's no signs, it's not illegal... right?

The weird thing about theses offices is that the jail was pretty much next door, lol walk little ways you get to the area where inmates hang outside and you can see each other though a razor fence.

It is still considered illegal, but it would definitely help your cause if you got caught. And I'm no lawyer but if you got fined and took it to court, having proof that it was not posted would help your case.

I don't know if it's the same in the US but in the UK if a place has no 'keep out/no trespassing/private property' signs then even if by some extreme misfortune you are arrested, you can't be charged with any trespass offences. However the police may try and pin a 'being found in an enclosed space' charge on you, but if you can show them there are holes in the fence, or the fence or building is incomplete or accessible in any obvious way that won't stick either.

But as I have already said elsewhere you would have to be doing something extremely dodgy to go as far as getting arrested while exploring here in the UK.

"So, someone ran over our shoddy attempt at a gate, should we get a new one??"

"Nah, just grab that tree limb and drag it over here, no one is getting past that!!"

Here's @thegerm demonstrating the highly effective security measures on a crane in YYC.

AFTER we swung around the 3-sided wall at the base of the crane, we found the trap door to the craneway locked. And the second trap door.. unlocked...

Edit: Full story here.
