a year or 2 earlier i think, they changed the tail lights in 80

GM downsized the Impala/Caprice in 77... judging by the just the script on the C-pillar and the taillight detail, I'd put this one at a 78 or 79 model. Without seeing the nose, hard to really nail it down as the early years of this redesign were all about refining details.

It's a '79 Caprice Classic. That was the only year to use those taillights. The Impala also used different ones from the Caprice.

In 1980, not just the taillights were changed, the entire body was re-skinned even though the lines were very similar, to make the car a little more aerodynamic for fuel economy. I don't think one exterior body panel interchanges between the 1977-79 and the 1980-90 Chevrolets. Maybe the station wagon's tailgate?

Shame someone dumped that car there and left it to rot, it kind of looks like it might have been in decent shape beforehand.

there are times when i really want to be molested by you... in a Caprice.
other times, no.
My aunt and uncle always drove Impala's and Caprices until 1991 when they did the redesign. After that, it was Buick Century's.

My dad had Caprices all through the 90's. I have a real attachment to those cars and would love to have an 87 4 door or a 85 wagon.

Old Ford Courier or Mazda B-series... Odd to see one in one piece. Usually they're rotted in half.

With a frame from a later Super Beetle leaning against it.

That looks like a work in progress.
