Definitely Interesting and Very Unique! Thank You Much for your interest The search started after a local newspaper did an article on an artist and his House of Many Bottles. The location was never disclosed. All i knew was that it was down a long road in the woods, somewhere in my hometown. So it is! Only took me 3 yrs to find it. lol. The artist died several years ago. This house was something he worked on for many years but never completed. It had no running water, and what little electricity there was came from a small generator on the property. He collected bottles from all over the US, and used them to build a studio of sorts for his work. I am so happy that i was able to find it and document it, as it was, for now it has fell into the hands of idiot kids that have almost destroyed it.

What a whacked-out spot! I saw the title, and knew what pics you were going to have in here, but then that first pic threw the whole thing off. Totally unexpected... looks like something out of The Hobbit. The green room is awesome! I wonder if he actually lived in here or if it was just a 'pet project'.

A one of a kind, that's for sure!

Great location and great shots. Thanks for posting these! I like folk art just about as much as I like abandonments, so to see the two together is about as cool as it gets.

That's pretty cool! I hope that one day I become freaky enough to start making something like this. Then again I live in Holland, you can't do things secretly here.

Thank You So Much! Glad you enjoyed it and it came to you as a pleasant surprise!! He did stay out there for long periods of time. There was a big container that collected rain water he used for cleaning up. No bathroom, Literally an Outhouse out back...

Much Appreciated Punchy I was actually afraid to post these, so i am very happy it was well received. I am going to try to get back out there this weekend and get some more pics of how it looks now. Bet its in horrible shape.

3 years? From what I can tell...

...worth it.

Those buildings really have a "Lord of the Rings" feel to them, almost like a hobbit cathedral, with the colored glass "windows" and whatnot. It's a real shame that it's been almost destroyed by idiots.

I WAS determined! Hahaha! I DID have prior knowledge of this place, but could never find it, or find someone willing to share the location. Its surrounded by acres of tall pine trees.

What a unique discovery, a great payoff for your years of searching. Excellent photos by the way as well, very pleasant compositions and style. Your photography is surprisingly good for someone using photobucket lol.
