So I posted a thread a couple of months ago about a canning company that was sued and subsequently closed down years ago in central Louisiana. Turns out that same company ran a factory where I currently live further South and it has been closed for quite some time as well. I've known about it for a while, but only just got around to exploring it this weekend. Wasn't expecting much from it, but it actually yielded a nice little explore!

A wonderful site, and your views show intense artistic engagement. I particularly liked #4 for the interplay of valves and their shadows, #11 for the framing and #22, the intriguing room of circular holes.

Great set, Lalani.
#2 is a good shot for an intro, and the lighting on those valves... just WOW. Too many beautiful photos to pick a favourite!

You are a good photographer

A-Z: Yeah man, you can see in the pic directly above the valve shot that the sunlight was streaming in at just the right moment. That was definitely a lucky shot!

The first time I went here, it was used for police k-9 training, and I had no idea until I was already inside. I pulled up by boat though, so getting away wasn't too hard.

Great job capturing it!

Thanks! I didn't know they used it for K-9 training, that's pretty neat. And its a good location for police training. Luckily no one was there the Sunday morning I went.

Btw, I'm moving to your neck of the woods at the end of the month. Excited for new-to-me urbex locations!

Yeah, all the tv's and washing machines were set up for drug searches. There used to be rows and rows of cars in there, too, for the same purpose. It's such a neat little place. Btw, I'm gonna PM you.
