Hello friends,

I will be moving to the Colorado Springs area within a few months. I've always had an affinity toward abandoned buildings and exploration whether it be urban or rural. I lack impressive gear, but I do have experience doing some pretty nifty things in the marine corps. I am definitely interested in meeting up with people and seeing what we can get ourselves into, as well as posting pics and locations for other users. However, I don't find myself spending spare time on the internet too often so expect a couple days (unless you actively have my attention) for me to respond. Looking forward to arising opportunities.

Greetings. I'm Gabe, and I recently got into urban exploration entirely by accident when a friend and I stumbled into some turn-of-the-century boilers under the streets of Los Angeles. Since then, we've been finding and shooting photos of every interesting urban structure we could find.

I'll be making regular posts of our findings in the coming weeks (my buddy and I are go exploring every week now). I'm looking forward to interacting with the community, and possibly meeting up with other explorers in the SoCal area.

Hey !
My name is Lukas and I live in Montreal.
The first time I went exploring was when I was 11yo.
Near my house was an abandoned factory. So me and my friend was curious and decided to see whats inside....btw it is still abandoned, but it is barricaded, and would require power tools to get in.
Since that time, I like to go around Montreal with my friend and explore other abandoned places.
On my last exploration, I encountered other explorers, and It's him who showed me this forum.
So here I am.
If any one would like to explore with me, in Montreal, just PM me.
Take care to all.

Heyo!

I've just started looking into UE, but I've been taking pictures for quite a while. I usually stick to street photography and portraits, but I stumbled across some UrbEx-ers and I've taken interest. I'm still looking for some locations, but I've yet to find one where I'm confident I won't get caught. We'll see.

Hey guys. Ive been on and off the forum for many years. I never posted. I'll try to be more involved now that I got some time on my hands. Abandoned has always been my thing but I shoot a lot of different things.

Hey! I am a large bearded man from Western Australia and I love snooping around abandoned/old/interesting places. I don't take this stuff very seriously. My exploring gear generally consists of a flashlight and a large takeaway coffee. Also I am a pretty poor photographer.

Hello everyone!

So, I kinda got into Urban exploring through a friend of mine, who used to do it for fairly free and exciting entertainment in Toronto.

She tasked me with a couple of easy locations to get pictures of as a sort of challenge to myself and for fun, and now here I am...

Curiosity expanded, eyes opened to the new opportunities, and adventures around me every day in this wonderful city of Toronto.

I've been admiring and photographing modern ruins for years. My family and friends think I'm nuts (but my daughter took me to Sutro Baths ruins in SF last Christmas). I didn't know anybody else liked this stuff. But I found some books on the subject, and ordered Harry Skrdla's "Ghostly Ruins; America's Forgotten Architecture." Then I googled around and found this group.

I get "harmless trespassing." But I'm not into homemade night vision gadgets, respirators, aggressive hobos, etc. So I'm not sure how I might fit into this group? I'd appreciate your advice on how to proceed. Thanks!1.

Greetings UER! My Name is Rick, and I hail from Oshawa Ontario. I have been exploring for a little less than a year, and have become very partial to storm drains. Access All Areas is my bible and I have read it countless times. And I hope to learn even more from all of you!

I plan of finding others in the Toronto area to explore with, and to attend as many meetings as I can. Other than that, I will give credible information as much as possible, and hope you guys give back as well.

I posted in the UER general thread about Gargantua in Toronto, if anyone could reply who has experience with that tunnel please contact me! Thanks!

Hey everyone! My names David and I currently reside in Orlando, Florida. I've always loved exploring and I want to take it to the next level. I'm looking forward to exploring more and meeting others that share the same passion! I'll be uploading some of my work of recent explorations once I get time to develop the film.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Heather. I am from Ontario, Canada and I recently discovered this website while searching for abandoned places around my area. Abandoned places have always been so interesting to me. So many untold stories in each place, history some may never know.

Hey Everyone,

Been a member here for a while, although I don't think I have posted once. My friend and I Have just started exploring ourselves this year instead of living through other peoples explorations through the internet. We are from Minnesota and would love to meet up with anyone looking to help out a couple of new guys.

Grew up in the burbs wish I would have known of all these amazing places to explore when I was younger. When we were in highschool we did use to sneak into the football games through the sewers to avoid the $5 dollar fee haha.

Happy to be here and hope to meet some fellow explorers.

Hi everyone! My name is Roberto and I live in northern Spain. I've been exploring since 2008-09 but my interest about abandoned places started when I was really young. I always imagined how it would be to get in two twin mansions abandoned near my city, even asked my parents to visit "the houses", but at 7 years old no parents would allow you to do so. I had to wait until I was 16, but it was too late. Being abandoned from the 80s, there was not much to see in there.

Now I have lots of locations around my area and the neighbour country, Portugal, and I can't spend a week without exploring abandoned places!

I'm Kpax from the Calgary area. Longtime lurker of UER (~5 years), but fairly recent explorer (~2 years). Seeing mother nature take back what's hers is fascinating to me, and I like thinking about the potential stories and situations that caused the demise of the locations I explore.

I mostly check out rural farmsteads since all the good urban sites are demolished or tightly locked up, but hoping to meet some local explorers, see some cool stuff, and get better at using my NEX-F3.

Hello,

I'm a montrealers who explored tons of places in my 20's pre digital era.... At this point I'm in my 30's and have a bit more confidence to get away with shit, looking to start exploring again. It'll be a pleasure to meet some like minded people.

Shame about all those condos replacing the brewery... Some of my best memories is exploring through those old empty rooms or peering down the giant empty multi-story holes where vats used to be...

Here's to a ten year hiatus..
