Western Supply Co. was a manufacturer of oil and gas well equipment. The original machine shop was built between 1907 and 1911. The rest of the complex was built between 1911 and 1915. I went to scout out the location and actually ran into a group of guys inside. Turns out they own the place. They were friendly enough to let me walk around and take some pictures. They were in the process of renovating the once abandoned complex into a venue for music and events.
Enjoy!

Very cool place. Glad they were friendly enough. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a decently sized place to explore.

What's stacked up in photo 8?

Chair cushions are stacked up along the wall. The boxes in front appeared to maybe be racks for electronics.

It was a decent sized place. I would say about half a city block.

Love #12. I work for a company that used to be Ingersol Rand in Baxter Springs, KS. Have never seen that machine before. I'm guessing it is a steam engine? Any ideas?

Ohh very cool! I was under the impression that it was some sort of air or hydraulic compressor.

Did some searching online and I think you are correct about this being an air compressor. Radically different than any compressor I've seen. Here's a pic of a similar machine.
