Ah! Is this from today?! I am pretty scared to go all the way through that tunnel as I am pretty sure the holiday train is now running on those tracks.

The trains are always on the track very long freight trains and passenger mostly freight there is a couple passages in the concrete for safely if a train comes to get into every couple hundred yards (its a mile and 1/4 long tunnel) It may be more frequent this time of year I am not sure. Don't forget to plug your ears if the train comes through with you in it. Anyone go all the way to the end inside the tunnel yet? My friends pussy out a few hundred yards in where the graf stops.

Didn't actually walk through the tunnel to get there -- don't think I could ever do that walk

Inside the tunnel I'm guessing? Didn't actually walk through it but I did stop on a dead deer's face on our way out here *shutters*

Two of my friends once walked out there just to see if they could find the cutaways in the wall everyone talks about but they said they got wayyy far in there before they found the first one so I've never tried it

Went there a few weeks back, the first time in five years. The brick factory is gone, as is a fair deal of the Secret Sidewalk. The periodic gaps on the sidewalk allowing you to enter inside have all been sealed by metal.

1. Unknown structure

2. Old brick factory site-- sigh

3. Rail tunnel, went halfway, chickened out. No dead animals.

4. The Secret Sidewalk starts/dies here; the rubble that used to delineate its route is gone.

5.

6. The couple behind me appeared to have had a romantic dinner here. How sweet.

I swear the sidewalk used to go on another 1/4 mile before it died out, wrapping around the old brick factory site instead of ending just beyond the railroad tunnel. What was the extent of this rumor?

Just read a facebook message on my brother s screen it sounded pretty faked but I need to make sure it wasn't and as far as I know it doesn't wrap around there is a shit ton more left though I have never followed it as it goes quite deep into the canyon (back to the water station) Edited for pics

Took a walk out there today, we climbed up the "rope course" ledge. Had about an hour to ourselves to look around and take pics. Everything went wrong the second we decided to climb down into the train tunnel entrance. Made our way down the ledge and set up our tripods about 25 ft in to the tunnel and sure enough here comes the infamous silver jeep of death. He gets out of the car, puts a pair of binoculars to his eyes and then we heard it……a train horn

I look at my buddy and he looks at me and says "its probably on the other track, you know the one across the creek"… So I climb back up to the top of the tunnel, and the noise is getting louder and the jeep is gone, circling back around to come up on us from the north where the sidewalk ends. My buddy stays down at the tunnel entrance w. his camera still shooting, the train conductor applies the brakes and lays on the horn repeatedly. I thought for sure he was going to stop the train and we were going to get in a good deal of trouble…but instead he slows the train to a crawl, goes past my buddy and into the tunnel.

I stayed on top and shot my photos from above, my buddy got some sick shots of the train going by him only a few feet away.

When everything quiets down, Mr. Jeep is pissed and comes running down the sidewalk yelling at us to GTFO and explicitly complimenting our camera gear and accusing us of littering, painting and "rustling his cattle" (which never woke up or moved from the shade under the tree the whole time we were there).

Needless to say this spot is constantly watched by the man in the NRA hat and Harley Davidson tshirt and he was not pleased at all to see us taking pictures today

Heard a rumor that jeep man has a motion sensor on either this iron square or the one near the bridge -- he seems VERY dedicated to watching the spot so I wouldn't be surprised if it's true

that rumor might hold true on the iron square. We never walked thru the gate near the bridge until after he yelled at us. we used the rope course hand hold to get down and make an exit.

We walked the tracks all the way in, until we saw the sidewalk on our right, then hiked thru the tully's and hoisted our way up.

I'm sure he means well and is probably more bark than bite but I wouldn't take any chances of testing that theory since you are in his "territory" which is a secluded area.

actually no i met a guy who knows the owner of the brick factory and he said the guy in the jeep is just an ass hole that has his cows on the land and i haven't seen him in a while actually as for the motion sensors complete bullshit i have walked every path out there main road every way in and such nothing of the sort he even removed the barbed wire from his gate. the railroad though does have sensors they put them in a few months ago not many just at the intersection but still and some one ran brand new cable through the tunnel also
