Thought I'd share some photos I took this weekend while exploring in the Similkameen Valley, BC.

1. Camp Defiance

2. Core Samples from an old mine

3. Milling building belonging to an abandoned mine

4. Found this nice skull in abandoned barn...

5. The old Coalmont Hotel

6. Milling building for an abandoned gold mine

7. Some old grinders from an abandoned mine.

8. Old milling building for a mine

9. The entrance of an abandoned mine

10. Inside a gold mine- old tracks used for mine carts.

11. An abandoned homestead

Thanks. I did a few different mines up there. The first mine I did which was where photo # was taken went in quite deep, that mine is a single tunnel on an uphill 45 degree angle making it a fairly physically challenging mine! Then I also did upper and lower Frenchman Mines which are photos 9 and 10 which are both fairly large, upper is definitely bigger and more complex in that there are a lot more tunnels and turn-offs inside of it. There are a few collapsed tunnels though inside the mine.
