May be some stuff around Dubuque.

You're in tobacco country. Should be some abandoned tobacco industry stuff out there.

In order to use your head, you have to go out of your mind.

Sorry to get butt in here, but I'm a freshman at UW-Platteville, about a half hour from Iowa. It is so boring here, and if theres any good places in Iowa, well I guess I would drive to Iowa!

There's all kinds of rural abandoned goodness in SE Iowa.

I know of some interesting/alright places here in SW Iowa.. Been a year or more since I checked them out.. but I keep them pretty secret. Partly because I'm not a full member and don't want them public and secondly because I don't frequent the online urbex world much.
Haven't done much exploring for about 6 years but getting back into things, hit me up if you're interested in some company.

I haven't been on here in a while, but I've still been exploring Iowa. And there are still plenty of exciting things to find around this state.
I don't think exploring in Iowa is dead, the people just aren't sharing online as much anymore.

That's probably true, and I guess I'm guilty of that...I just got married and am still relatively new to UER, but once things settle down I hope to do some exploring.

Yuric, what kind of sites have you explored recently?

Anybody near the Steamboat Rock/Ackley area? I go down there often to visit family. Found some caves down there and some abandoned houses/buildings in the small town. Send me a message, I'll probably be down there in a few weeks.
