Thanks! I have a couple better shots, but they include the rooftop signs, so make it really obvious where the building is ...

Hey, are you new in Portland?

Awesome. Yeah, let us (me and Steam) know and we'll make some time to show you around. We never did plan sewer adventures, but we could do that too, and another as-yet-unexplored 12' pipe that should be more empty and less dirty (but really short, since it's a detention tank, technically).

Ah, understandable. And yeah I go to school up there. I'm in the Arizona-ish area for the summer, but I'd love to check some things out with you guys when I come back in September

Sweet dudes! I'd love to do some rooftops/drains with you guys, as well.

Let me know what your schedules are like for the upcoming weekends and maybe we can work something out.

Nice! I need to get down there when I can do more than just drive through.
Hey, we were driving down 205 last weekend & saw some big industrial place (looked abandoned) along the far side of the river... what's that place & have you been there yet? Looked like it would be a fun explore.

If you're talking about the paper mills at West Linn / Oregon City ... working on those

Not sure if it's those exactly... wanted to get a pic as we drove by but was thwarted by a semi. Could be, though... they were just south of the WA/OR border on 205.
Looked awesome to explore, though!

Not exactly.

- The mill on the Oregon City side is closed, but still active somehow (people with forklifts driving around on a Saturday ...).
- The West Linn mill is half closed; the old parts of the mill that once processed raw logs are now used for storage. The basements are reportedly also not used, since they flood. There's an active hydroelectric plant and lock here, though, so it's risky.

Ah. Nope, that's not it. The only thing I know of in that area is a fairly boring drain ...

I think you are talking about the Glass Plant. That place is very much active, and as a matter of fact, there was a pretty large fire there a few months ago when the smelter burned through and the Fire Department has a tough time putting it out since it's a glass factory. Apparently once the furnace is on, they never turn it off until they have to change the core.

I'm going to be in Portland for the next couple of weeks. I'd definitely be interested in checking out some stuff if I've got the time.

Message me when you have some time. I think I'll be sticking to drains and sewers for a few weeks, so hopefully that is up your alley!
