Really!? This was not a commercial, paid tour, this was a very loosely guided tour that was organized through a connection with the company. This tour was the kind of thing that we, as explorers, should WANT to see; people actually appreciating the incredible industrial infrastructure around us.

Also, wait for these pictures to come up so you can start drooling.

And as for the whole thing about revealing the real name...you're both right, and it doesn't matter, shut up.

Now can we stop all this negative shit so the thread doesn't get locked? There are people here who are actually interested in discussing an incredible trip to an abandoned industrial facility.

It really wasn't much of a tour. He just kind of let us in, talked a little, then let us loose for 4 hours. We climbed on everything, just like we would if we'd sneaked in, but with no possible legal consequences. What's the problem with that?

Oh wow, what's the big deal people!!! Jealousy perhaps??? It's still exploring since we were on our own and did not pay a damn thing!!!

ANYWAY, it truly was an awesome explore. So much to see, which I didn't get a chance to see everything, major bummer! Gots to go back again.

Thanks, but I don't need advice from someone who dismisses a location just because it's not illegal. You are missing out big time with that kind of attitude.

Exactly. Only a couple of us stuck around for Stan's "guided tour". We got let into a few areas others didn't get to see (like the acoustic chamber) and heard lots of neat stories. The "tour" with Stan added a whole new level of depth to this location. I'm personally proud to say I wandered around with some old dude a couple of hours while he rambled on and on about the history of a place he knows like the back of his hand.

Man, I totally missed that tour and I so wanted to be a part of it. Where and when had y'all met up with him?

I was in the belly of the beast when I heard someone yell out "We're doing the tour now!" By the time I navigated all the wobbly wooden ladders out to the "main" floor area everyone had already left. I spent a few moments trying to find them, but they were long gone. That's when I found you, Hellsey and u-235 though, so it worked out for the best I think.

THIS is why I'd love more details on getting in touch with Stan. I'd love to hear the history and gain his knowledge. Had to miss this event due to a (wonderful) family reunion....so instead of whoever it was that gave me the face palm.....could someone share either in the thread or a PM how I might contact Stan to set something up? With enough advance notice I'm sure we'd get another small group out there no problem.

When I was in high school, I had a teacher that worked on the project. He had all sorts of crazy stories about the plant, and how doomed the project was from the start. It really is a great site. I've only been to the outside. Those towers sure are huge!

Thats. It.

I honestly don't know when you came around here, or who the fuck you think you are, but I know I'm not the only one who's had it with your bullshit.

What exactly have you done that makes you SO FUCKING AMAZING? So much more
awesome than the rest of us? Well, let's hear it, cause you carry it around with you like a fucking ball and chain. And I don't care about any of the crap on your shitty website. I've read more coherent ramblings written on truck-stop bathrooms by illiterate, immigrant crack whores going through withdrawal.

Why don't you just go back to whatever elitist forums you frequent and continue fucking each other up the ass and drinking shit stanking jizz out of bloody sphincters. Or whatever else it is that you do.

Or just keep your fat mouth shut when you don't have anything positive to say.

Do you sneak into the grocery store through the back entrance when you do your shopping because walking through the front door isn't elite enough?

tour was both informative & optional, douchebasket. this was basically an "access all areas" free pass at a rare & awesome location, during a 3-day event that involved all sorts of different forms of exploration. glad you missed out on this, guess it's not just the PSW that has renoobs in it.

Well, I ended up being really disappointed with all my shots from the reactor. With how much I harp on everyone else about always using a tripod, you would really think I would know, wouldn't you? Well, I hate carrying tripods, because I like to climb. Which is why I normally just don't take photos when I explore at all... But since I had flown across the country specifically for this location, I figured I should take some pictures. Well, they came out shitty. But for what it's worth, here are some of the less shitty ones.

1. I think a lot of you may have missed this, but this is the actual hole that the reactor core would have been dropped down into. It was quite difficult to find and photograph.
