| | | Hello Texas, Chicago/California explorer taking a cross country trip. Found myself in the Dallas area, and I went to go check out your super collider... The security guard wasn't so worrisome as the nature of the facility-- it seems very much active. Lots of lights on, whirring noises, all that kind of thing. I'm not asking for a way in or anything, but is this spot really still doable? We'll be within ~300 miles of the spot until tomorrow. If anyone would be willing to host an expedition, my road partner and I would love to join you.
Thanks! X

| | | The best answer I can give is that it's not necessarily do-able. The tunnels: no, not do-able. They've always been trying to re-use the magnet labs. Companies have been in and out of there for many years. Sounds to me like somebody is actually using part of it now. I remember a long time ago I saw one of the buildings full of boxes upon boxes of styrofoam cups when it was being used as a temporary warehouse.

| | | The Magnet facility was bought by Magnablend about 5 months ago. They are in the process of clearing permits and community battles to tear it down and build their new chemical plant their. They blew their last one up last year. Doesn't surprise me the lights are on. Probably in the process of scrapping anything they can. That fire hurt them.
