The Book of Exodus (Part Un)

I can't be a hypocryte after this morning when I suggested a friend of mine put herself out there for critism with her pottery and not at least open myself up to take some.

Below are from the last two to three months worth of excursions around the country. If you are going to anal rape me, at least have the curtousy to give me a reach around. (and what movie is THAT from?!

I know the usual suspects for clown vomit, but beyond "omg you fucking clown vomit loving humper!" ... I'll take it on the chin.

1.

On the way to Detroit ... long exposure.

2.

I think this one is pretty obvious where its at. Cold motherfucking night after a couple of Omagangs at the local BBQ place (starts with an S and ends with a W)

3.

Long time coming set of shots around this 7 story atrium of goodness.

4.

I love shooting in this particular area, because of the grain elevator in particular. Unique in its own right.

5.

Buffalo Central (everone knows this) - but this time in 4x5 Efke P 25 ISO M

6.

HHR (everone knows this) - but this time in 4x5 Efke P 25 ISO M

7.

Active grain eleavtor complex that General Mills runs. This is particular to Buffalo and its smell of Cheerios that we all complain/love about Buffalo

8.

Stairway to Hell, from Hell's point of view. Super wide on my cheap-ass backup.

9.

My first "real" urbex spot where I took a self portrait some years ago.

10.

Stairway to Hell, less hell, but more gritty sharpness with my favorite wide angle.

11.

Junk yards in the south west are fucking dope.

12.

Went overboard here, but the oculus is always epic, mid-day.

13.

Grain + some shitty graf. (but it was a nice touch for the reflection)

14.

One or two dump pipes over from #13.

I like em all very much, they're just awesome. The 11th one i like a bit less, the colors are too unreal and the angle is a bit extreme.

All of these shots are awesome. I'm just not a fan of the HDR processing. Besides that, composition, angles, everything else. Is awesome. I'll say it again. Awesome. And yes. I'll go for 8 as my winner.

I'm just gonna come out and say it--I dig clown vomit. When a clown vomits, I grab my scoop and fill my pockets.

Sigma 8-16mm incase you must know. Just a gimmick lens for me to use on the backup.

These are very solid but I agree with Yokes.
Way too many for a critique.
Again, not knocking your hustle... As these are extremely well done.

Ah. Yokes, I'll have a bunch of 4x5 scans for next week .. probably need some tweaks on technique for sure. My processing lessons are this weekend to learn how to push some negatives I know that might be wonk.

BTW, do you have any idea where I can find some Fuji Quickchange film holders for the 4x5?

I love the angle and vivid color on #11. It gives it that "Americana" mid-west look. Well done.
