Who wants to go check it out? Time is important, as demolition is scheduled for September.

Man if only it wasn't so far away. I have the foreman's phone number and email.. I was thinkin about asking for a tour. Wouldn't really want to go that far unless I could be guaranteed access. I think they are doing the asbestos abatement right now though so the tour would have to be after they are done but before major demolition. If anyone would like the contact info for the foreman let me know.

Did anyone ever head down to see it for themselves? There's some really interesting staged demolition going on.

I go to Port Townsend regularly for work, and Port Angeles isn't much further. I'm down and I can drive a few people.

Did the demolition already happen? The original post stated it would happen in September of last year...

Yeah, I felt a little jibbed when I saw the original post was so old. It was like all that excitement just met an untimely end and what was left was just a little bitter shell.

hahaha

Yeah, I too got excited and then depressed within a couple of minutes.

Whatever necromancers are reviving these old posts should start focusing on reviving this dead forum with NEW content instead.

Well, it's official. According to the National Park Service, the last piece of the dam were removed today. Here are some photos of the site: http://www.king5.c...html?gallery=y&c=y
