amazing St. Louis from the air

Note: I'm sharing these because they're TOO DANGEROUS TO GO TO SO DONT EVER EVEN THINK IT! And its basically public knowledge that going around St. Louis, Detroit, etc from google earth will show you a million cool, unimaginably dangerous places to not go.

I've driven through St. Louis a few times, and it's amazing the quantity and scale of the abandonment there. I wanted to share some of the more interesting locals views from google earths airplane view.

Note: You have to be 100% BATSHIT INSANE to EVER stop at ANY of these locations! They are incredibly dangerous, which is part of the reason I'm sharing them, they're not actually accessible to non-stupid people.

Plug in these address into google and zoom in until it gives you that cool angled airplane view (you can change direction on the top left my moving the directional thing in the compass):

(Oh, AND DONT EVER FUCKING GO TO THESE PLACES!)

38.627021,-90.158111

38.640112,-90.14309

(there was no "auto shredding" place there, just a lot of young, roaming hoodrats who got up whenever my car slowed down, plus some terrifying crackwhores).

38.634112,-90.150826

38.645419,-90.152352

38.597141,-90.123159 no idea what the hell is going on here

If this post runs afoul of any rules let me know and I'll fix it, but it seemed ok since this is public stuff thats been talked about before.

Oh, AND FOR FUCKS SAKE MAN DONT EVER DO IT!

Its so true. Don't ever visit these places. When I went to this first location in East St. Louis I was shot at by a bunch of minorities. Then, at the second location, I was stabbed for a quarter and my Tom Selleck does Motown cd collection.

THESE PLACES ARE SERIOUS SHIT!!!!

you definitely missed most of the good stuff in STL. #4 is cool though.

Hey Mario, how many times did we get mugged in St. Louis this year? Like, 6 or 8? And Babushka had to get a tetanus shot after getting hit by stray gunfire. It was terrible!

Detroit was pretty bad when I went there too, I think I got shot 3 or 4 times and someone stole my car and dropped it out of an abandoned factory.

In all fairness, we did see some kids walking around with rifles while we were on the roof of #1, although they were maybe just BB guns

The worst danger we were in was from the 3 or 4 cops that told us to get away from the big croquet wicket thing. We were going to take pictures of it, but the entire police force was there making sure nobody looked at it after 8pm. Fortunately that meant there were no cops anywhere else in the city, so we were able to buy some crack and kill a couple hookers without being hassled.

when its me and my girl exploring alone, I'm a lot more paranoid. When I was in ny with my buds, we'd go exploring in whatever town we wanted. It's a lot different now =(

IF I was with some peeps and not just my misses (with a car packed with stuff and a new laptop) I def would have made more stops in Lt. Louis (I did make some stops though).

Tried the bear, a mob of hobos with mad cow disease ripped it apart and ate it.
Didn't even cook it.

Is that snow or asbestos?

The fourth place on that list is extremely wonderful. I'd recommend venturing into the scary greater St. Louis area to give it a look. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about being mugged/shot/carjacked or having your kidneys stolen or anything; the most dangerous thing we ran into was a kitty cat.
