There are a lot of Nikon users, me included, but I don't think that there are many artillery users...

I share your feelings. Just ordered my first decent camera, a Nikon D3000. Waiting for it in the mail and it's killing me! Got a 62" tripod and lens hood. Got the 18-55mm...wish I could have sprung for the 70-300mm but that will have to wait.

You ordered a D3000? Um, you might want to trade that in or sell it right away and get a D3100, because the D3000 is pretty much the worst entry-level DSLR that Nikon has ever made.

I second this, all the local photographers I know refer to it as "A point and shoot disguised as a DSLR"

It's probably worse than some of the high-end point-and-shoots.

The Nikon D70 is a great entry level DSLR, if you are ok having only 6 megapixels, my friend owns one and he loves it.

Not bad, but get a D70s if possible. I've never owned either, but from what I've heard and read, the step up in quality from a D70 is worth it. Here's something on it from dpreview.com: http://www.dprevie...42003nikond70s.asp

I just bought a sony a560 after doing a little research and it seems to do well enough. I havent shot in raw yet, but i feel like i should have gone with canon, since they have a larger variety of lenses as well as the ability to mount other brands lenses since the mount is big enough to make adapters for smaller mounts without increasing the focal length. the salesman i talked with though, told me the a560 was a solid camera for my price range in comparison to the 3100 or the t2i. thoughts? it does have image stabilization in the body which is nice.

I should have known better than posting. Got a killer price and the interface is hands down better than the older nikons. Works for me.

I'm selling a vintage Bronica 6X6 System for a friend. The best item is probably the 40 mm Nikkor. (About a 20 equivalent on a 35mm camera) There are 3 lenses, 40, 75 and 150; (75 is Nikkor and 150 is Zenza Bronica)

Also filters, soft case, 3 backs, extension tubes, filters, pyramid viewfinder, (called Sportfinder on Hasselblad) A Helicord sp? thing needs to be attached to each lens before mounting. Easy to do, and it's included. Camera has been checked by good camera shop. Shutter is fine etc. Camera and lenses have very minor wear markings.

Probably will go up in value because it's before Bronica even made their own lenses. Good usable collectable from early 70's. Looking for solid serious offers. Can send many photos to your email. Canada Post Express shipping is very reasonable.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread. Few viewers in stuff for sale, and Other is not the proper place.

Personally I use three to four cameras when I shoot. My main is a Nikon N-90 (film), Nikon D-100 (digital), and a Diana F+ for some more artistic shots. I sometimes also break out my old N-75, but that one is up for sale so do not use it much.

Also for a good resource, B&H Photography is a good place to look, new and used they have some very good products and equipment. This is who I use, and have for over 4 years now.
