Glad you're posting! But as for not much being around you... I wish I lived closer to Northern WV. Wheeling and Moundsville both have some nice places, and I've heard good things about Weirton too. There's quite a bit up there.

That is an awesome bridge. Weirton has a neat old coal and ice plant that I've been too but the owner frowns on people being there. Too much work just to see an old concrete wall and some mangled railroad track. I have also walked along the catwalk under the Veterans Memorial bridge over the Ohio River. If you look close in the picture of the bride you can see it. There was some people fishing under us and later that night my brother was fishing and met those people and they were talking bout us walking up there, made me laugh.

We are indeed. The fog was incredibly dense all morning when we were under it. It didn't lift until we were driving across the bridge to go home. =(

Parkersburg has a couple interesting places, a hotel that's been closed since the 80's, an old pallette factory and a marble factory close to each other.

I know of a semi-abandoned gas works type of plant in Pleasants County.

Of all, I've been to the two factories, I keep meaning to do the hotel, just never seem to get around to it. What makes it hard though is it's in the middle of a high traffic area, well, for Parkersburg anyway.

The factories sound awesome, got any pics?? That hotel would be sick to get in to and look around in. Parkersburg is about a 3 hour drive for me though which kinda sucks.

http://s136.photob...zor/Old%20Factory/ The link has the pallette factory and some shots of another building in front of it.

The Photos below are of the MArble Factory. I have more, just not on my computer, I had to get these from my Facebook.

Hey Zeke, I used to live in East Liverpool, not far upriver from you. From our living room we could see Homer Laughlin, and we still hit the Fiesta store fairly regularly. I might be heading down that way for some Xmas shopping too.

Is New Vrindaban still hanging on?
