Oh, and last but not least: the last time I was in Szombathely, a little city about 220 km from Budapest, I broke my height record when I climbed out the top window of a 10 story building (about the highest you'll see around), onto the roof, and then up to the top of a 4-story antenna in broad daylight:
From up there, I noticed there is one building that rises above the rest of the city at 14 stories tall - and it has an antenna tower on top as well! At that moment I decided that I shall conquer it.
At the end of August, me and my girlfriend returned to Szombathely.
Somewhere around 2am on our last night there, we were walking through the city with a little group of people we had made friends with, on the way to an all-night shop where we could get some alcohol...
We turn a corner, and there it is: the tallest building in the city, right before me, with shady scaffolding going up one side!
I disregarded the cautioning of our local friends telling me there are security guards, bypassed the fence, and started my long climb up, armed with my girlfriend's little compact camera.
At the top, I climb over to the roof, and think I'd yell down to my friends - but as I look down I decide not to, as they were in the process of being ID'd by police
(last pic)
I make my way up the climbing bolts on the thin, roughly 3-4 floor tall antenna, and hold on with one hand while squeezing the little camera against it in a vane attempt to get it at least somewhat stable. (The thing visible in the 3rd pic is the end of the cable holding the antenna in place)
