Worst thing ive found so far was the grease bin from McShanes.Its an old bar that shut down a few years ago, apparently they forgot to clean it out.
Smelled horrible, when they eventually cleaned it out they had to call the health department and they ended up with Haz-Mat response teams out there.Looked like some liqufied human.YUM!

Two syringes, a condom, a romantic compact disc, and two philly blunts (grape and peach) laying on a door. on the floor. probably staged although disturbing, quiet amusing.

Sounds like McNabs Island.. lol

Last summer there was a decomposing deer carcass in one of the horizontal press houses at INAAP. It smelled real nice.

Depending on how much rain we get McNabs Island can turn into Tampon and Condom Island..

They do an annual clean-up out there..

The annual McNabs Island cleanup held on Sunday June 7, 2009 was a big success thanks in part to good media coverage and the great weather.

Our enthusiastic volunteers collected 260 garbage bags + 40 blue bags. There were 120 volunteers who travelled on the boat to the island plus 30 girl guides joined us on the island.

Along with hundreds of plastic tampon applicators and used syringes from the failed sewer system of Halifax, we found plastic garbage of all sorts, Styrofoam, rope and Tim Horton's coffee cups. We also found unusual items like:

* metre high Santa Claus lawn ornament
* bucket seat of a car
* bar fridge
* several hard hats
* very old and weathered large geometry protractor
* baby soother
* various articles of clothing from underwear, coats, pants, boots,
* an NDP election sign from the last election
* patio table
* stereo speakers
* fibre glass hockey blade
* a large purple stuffed dog
* carpet
* a large pail full of used oil filters
* propane tanks
* membership card to Nubodys
* shotgun shells
* marine flares

This brings the total amount of garbage collected from McNabs Island since 1991 to over 8,500 bags.

  • Fort McNab
  • Fort Ives
  • Strawberry Battery
  • Hugonin Battery
  • McNabs Island House

    This ones not disgusting but it's funny/weird and awesome:

    It was an instruction and care manual on how to operate a certain heavy piece of machinery of some sort. Thinking about posting a small thumbnail of it before every one of my posts now lol but I don't want it to get annoying so I'll refrain from doing so

    Both within 5 feet of eachother:

    1. Dead cat that definitely didn't get there on its own.

    2. What appears to be a fresh bare footprint. It was raining out, so we left footprints on the dry ground inside when we came in. The one on the right is mine. The one on the left, however, is not...
    We left. Immediately.

    http://www.realest...home-for-sale.aspx

    I am surprised the real estate agents took pictures of the inside of the house with all the bondage equipment in place.

    Wow! Did you report it?
    My Mom found a very similar bone on her property,which is pretty close to an old battlefield.

    Nah, I live near an old cemetery and the ground hogs have been digging up graves quite frequently. I've found two skulls and numerous bones. I reported the first skull I found but realized there isn't much they ca do...

    how do you know its human?

    Because I found it in a cemetery. It's a humerus (upper arm) bone.

    I shoot photos.

    We have an old cemetery near us that is sliding down the hill. Many bones exposed. Nobody seams to care.

    The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

    Wow.. I've read through all 59 pages of this.. Almost lost my lunch a few times for the animal cruelty posts. I suppose i've been rather lucky in what i've seen or rather haven't seen.

    A few dead birds, condoms, syringes etc. At Salton Sea though it was the first time i had see a mummified fish let alone thousands of them.. But i guess thats sort of a given going to a location like that. Still neat photos though!
