Hey guys!
This is my first post here, so I just wanted to say hello first. My name is Danny and I live in VA. I'm kinda new to the world of urbex, but I definitely enjoy it a lot. I look forward to hopefully getting to know a lot of you. =)

Yesterday was a pretty fun day. Me and two of my buddies decided to head to a very well known(dare I say...infamous) tuberculosis hospital. This is only our second trip out, so the negative stories of the place didn't really hold us back.

Now, I'll be honest...this place is pretty messed up. It's unfortunately been abused for far too many years. It's a shame, really, that people couldn't have respected this place. I think that it's nice to visit, even despite all the nasty graffiti.

I'm currently using a point-and-shoot digital, so the picture quality isn't all that great.

Hey, that's pretty sweet for one of your first explores. And don't sweat the PNS camera. A lot of us around here use them. Welcome to the forum!

yeah don't worry about your P&S. With composition like #1 and 2, no one will care. I have seen much worse pics from people with $700+ SLRs who don;t know what they are doing.

Looks like a good explore.

It's in a really peaceful place, isn't it?
Nice walk to get there.

I'm getting a SLR tomorrow, so hopefully I don't become like those people! =D

But thank you, it was definitely a lot of fun.

Maybe we saw ya there? It was like a field day. When we first walked up we were greeted by six people, asking if we wanted to be in a movie. O_O
Then when we were leaving, two other people were walking up with a camera. I definitely didn't expect it to be such a crowded place.

Thanks!
The weird thing is that it wasn't planned at all. They were walking and it just kinda happened.

I thought it was interesting that his avatar signature was his first and last name.

Probably not the wisest thing to drop your government name, I agree. But it could be a pseudonym as well...

Isn't quoting said names so the names are still out there even if they go back and edit them out of their own posts just as bad?

(I mean, they haven't, but...)

It will bring it to their attention, as well as the mods, who are the only ones who can modify the post at this point.
