MAMU is a public event. This has been the case with the last two MAMUs as well as a ton of other meetups that I've been to without any problem at all. What is all the paranoia on UER about lately? When are people going to notice that cops don't care about UER?? Anyway, I'll start a private board for this soon.

Bigger events get more notice. Cops react, they don't act. So all it takes is some person - not necessarily a cop - in KY saying "Cops, we got some troublemakers coming into town," then by law they have to check it out. I dunno how likely that is, but it's a possibility. KY is too far for me, so I'm not worried about it - But people who have everything to lose (Job, etc) for one shitty arrest will not take any vaguely reasonably present risk.

I've also heard of people being really stupid when it comes to meetups. Like the tards throwing snowballs at people/cars off the roof of an abandoned hospital or whatever it was, then (surprise surprise) they attracted unwanted police attention.

Me, personally, I'm very selective with whom I explore. Caution and saftey are at the top of my priority list. I personally don't want to run the risk of being in a place with 9 total kick-ass people who share my frame of mind and having one other tard in the group who thinks blowing up fire extinguishers or whatever is a really great idea...thus attracting cops and putting all of us in jeopardy.

Exploring is taking a risk no matter what. I just don't see what the difference is between this and the last two MAMU's or any of the other public meetups that have been hugely successful.

Ok, so is it DEFINITELY in Kentucky? Even though I'm from NH I'm down for it, I'll probably be bringing Amy and James with me as well, haha

Probably? There is no probably, Geoff, dear. I am definitely in and I am ridiculously excited.

Hey hey hey ...
We were on a regular rooftop and they hit an ambulance kthanks.

During this a cop watched me climb down the fire escape (carrying a backpack full of illegal fireworks and climbing gear) and didn't stop me. I didn't know they had hit the ambulance, I guess the cop didn't either ... if I had waited just a few more minutes to go down, I'd be the one in handcuffs. And I took off my jacket and went down to a tee shirt and returned to see a paddy wagon drive out of the alleyway. I thought they were fucked, but everyone got away. I guess the paddy wagon driving away victoriously was for PR or something.

I still haven't got a confirmation of whether it was an ambulance or a paddy wagon that I hit.

Either way, I think it was that missing step of the fire escape that saved us, cops prolly figured two punks throwing snowballs wasn't worth the risk.

I think it was their fat pig asses that probably couldnt walk up that many flights of stairs to begin with.

Throwing shit off of roofs is fun, meet or not. Don't hate.

Granted I've only been to one official meet up, I still will not explore with people that I don't trust to not be idiots.

So I've made an invite-only private board for this. I'm pretty sure I've added everyone who has expressed an interest in attending. If I've missed you, PM me and let me know. Mods, if you don't mind, could you lock this thread and the voting thread? Hopefully that will help with the search engine issue.
